Fisch Patriotic Seas: Catching Every Limited Fish Before July 6

The event fish split into three you can catch anywhere and a set locked behind the Patriotic Shark Hunt.

The Patriotic Seas event brings a limited-time Bestiary to Fisch, and it runs for a short window from July 4 to July 6, 2026. Completing it comes down to two very different tasks. Some fish drop into your net wherever you already fish, while the rest only appear when a Patriotic Shark Hunt is active.

Quick answer: Catch the three regular event fish anywhere by fishing normally, then use a Shark Whistle to summon Patriotic Sharks and clear the shark-exclusive entries. Both parts must be done before the event closes on July 6.

The three Patriotic Seas fish you can catch anywhere

Three of the limited fish are not tied to any island, weather condition, or special location. You can pull them from your usual fishing spot with your normal setup. Keep casting during the event, and they will show up on their own.

Because there is no location gate, this is the part most players finish without extra effort. If you fish at all during the event window, these three entries tend to fill in naturally. Start here so the only thing left is the harder shark set.

Patriotic Shark Hunt fish and the Shark Whistle

The remaining limited fish only appear during a Patriotic Shark Hunt. To trigger one, use a Shark Whistle. When the event first launched, Patriotic Sharks were not spawning correctly, which made these entries impossible to catch. That bug was corrected in version 1.91.0.2, and the whistle now summons Patriotic Sharks as intended.

Once a Patriotic Shark Hunt is running, you can catch the shark-related fish needed for the event Bestiary. A summon is not guaranteed on every whistle, so you may need several attempts before a Patriotic Shark appears. If nothing spawned for you earlier in the event, it was the launch bug rather than anything on your end.

Fastest farming method with a private server

If you own a Shark Whistle and have access to a private server, resetting the server is the quickest way to force Patriotic Sharks. It removes the wait tied to natural event timing on public servers.

Join your private server and use the Shark Whistle.
If no Patriotic Shark appears, leave or shut down the server, then reopen it.
Whistle again on the fresh server and repeat until a Patriotic Shark spawns.

Because the spawn is based on chance, expect to cycle the server a few times. This still beats waiting on public rotations where you have no control over when a hunt begins.

Catching the Patriotic Great White Shark

The Patriotic Great White Shark is one of the event-exclusive catches, and it is confirmed catchable now that spawning is fixed. There is no separate trick to it. Keep triggering Patriotic Shark Hunts until one shows up, then reel it in as normal.

You will know the collection worked when each caught species registers in the Patriotic Seas Bestiary. If an entry still reads as missing, the usual reason is that no Patriotic Shark Hunt was active when you tried, or a summon attempt simply did not roll a shark. Neither is a bug after version 1.91.0.2; it is just the chance-based spawn.

With the spawning issue resolved, the practical plan is straightforward. Sweep up the three anywhere fish first, then spend the rest of your time running shark hunts so only the rarer shark entries remain. Since the event ends on July 6, front-load the shark farming while the whistle window is still open.
