Gakuran runs on rerolls. The Roblox brawler set in a May 2007 Japanese school hands out zero cash or stat boosts through codes, so the only freebie on offer is a chance to reroll your character. That matters because rerolls are otherwise costly, and a good roll on your race, height, or fighting style can decide how you hold up on the rooftops at night.
Quick answer: Redeem SECRET for 5 rerolls and MAPUPDATE for 25 rerolls in the game’s Codes menu. You must join the official Roblox community and have at least 5 friends before the codes will work.

How to redeem Gakuran codes
Before you redeem anything, join the official Gakuran community on Roblox and make sure your account has at least 5 friends. Codes will silently fail without meeting those two requirements.
You will know it worked when the reroll count on your account goes up right after redemption. If nothing changes, the code was either mistyped, already used on your account, or expired. Landing on a newer server can also help fresh codes register.
How rerolls work in Gakuran
To spend a reroll, open the same menu you use for codes, but tap into the stats screen at the top instead of the Codes button. From there you can reroll almost any stat at the same cost, including your race, height, fighting style, and accessories.
Height rolls are the tricky part because the range is tied to your character’s ethnicity. There is a 95% chance to spawn as a Japanese student, and even then only about a 4% chance to hit the 6ft mark. Rolling a race that can break past that height limit sits at roughly 2%, so towering over the other students is rare no matter how many rerolls you spend.
What the new school update added
The recent update reworked parts of the school and layered in new content on top of the existing combat loop. The headline addition is a new fighting style, alongside a fresh map rework that pushed the game past 2 million visitors. Combat still runs on the same core inputs, with light attacks, heavy attacks, blocking, and an evasive dash driving the melee-focused fights.
Note: There are no cash rewards or permanent stat boosts anywhere in the update. Progress comes from mastering the mechanics and completing missions, with rerolls being the only shortcut codes provide.

New codes drop in the codes channel of the official Gakuran Discord server, which is also where patch notes and update announcements appear.
