Exact coordinates, the level you need, and how to capture the Winter Caller once you reach it.

Frostallion is the Ice-element legendary Pal that patrols the frozen northwest corner of Palpagos Island. It shows up as a Field Alpha Boss, so there is one fixed place to fight it rather than a scatter of random spawns, and it hits hard enough that walking in underleveled is a quick way to waste spheres.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Land of Absolute Zero, then head east to coordinates -357, 508. Frostallion waits there as a Level 60 Alpha Boss on the snowy mountain plateau.

Where Frostallion spawns

Frostallion sits on the high snowfield in the northwest of the map. The closest fast travel statue is the Land of Absolute Zero. From there, travel east until you reach the marked coordinates and you will see it circling the plateau.

This is a day-or-night spawn, so you do not need to wait for a specific time. Note that Frostallion does not appear in the World Tree area at all, regardless of the clock, so don’t spend time searching there.

How to beat and capture Frostallion

Frostallion is Ice-element, which means Fire is its hard counter. It takes 1.35× damage from Fire attacks, so a Fire team will melt through its health far faster than anything else. Bring Pals around Level 50 or higher, and you will be in comfortable range.

Assemble a Fire-element squad. Strong picks include Jormuntide Ignis, Blazamut, Incineram, and Reptyro, all of which punish Frostallion’s Ice weakness.
Whittle its HP down as low as you can before you start throwing spheres. Alpha bosses have a large health pool, so a clean fire rotation matters more than raw sphere count.
Throw a Legendary Sphere once Frostallion is at low health. It is a legendary Pal, so lower-tier spheres have poor odds. Stock several before the fight.

You know the capture worked when the sphere locks in and Frostallion is added to your party, with a catch confirmation appearing on screen. If the sphere pops open, its HP was still too high, or the sphere tier was too low, so keep chipping and try again.

Tip: fighting from a nearby cliff lets you exploit the boss AI and take less damage from its Ice attacks while your Fire team does the work.

Getting Frostallion without fighting the boss

Frostallion cannot be produced through standard breeding combinations, so you cannot simply pair two random Pals to roll one. The reliable alternative to the Alpha fight is hatching it from a Huge Frozen Egg.

Huge Frozen Eggs turn up as interactable pickups across the islands. Place one in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch. Several Pals share this egg type, including Kingpaca Cryst, Mammorest Cryst, and Bastigor, so a Huge Frozen Egg is not guaranteed to be Frostallion.

What you get from Frostallion

Beyond adding a top-tier combat Pal to your roster, capturing Frostallion pays off in a few concrete ways.

DropsIce Organ ×10 (100%), Diamond ×1 (100%)
Partner SkillIcy Steed — ridable flying mount that shifts your attacks to Ice
Work SuitabilityCooling
Gear unlockFrostallion Saddle, craftable at the Pal Gear Workbench

Once you have the saddle, Frostallion doubles as a flying mount that boosts your Ice damage while you ride it, which makes clearing this boss worthwhile even if you already have a strong endgame team. Pair the mount with its Cooling work role, and it earns its keep back at base as well.
