The Olympian Devil is the final boss of the Wrath of Olympus zone and one of the hardest catches in Fisch. It sits at Secret rarity, never spawns on its own, and only appears after you wake up every statue tied to the zone’s earlier layers. Landing it is the key to unlocking the Olympian Godbreaker rod.
Quick answer: Fish each of the five Wrath of Olympus layers with that layer’s matching rod until all five statues in the Olympian Fissure are awakened. When the fifth chat message appears, the Olympian Devil Hunt begins and lasts 20 minutes. Cast into the red pool beside the creature and win the minigame to catch it.

Rods and layers required to awaken the statues
Five statues stand inside the Olympian Fissure, and each one matches one of the five preceding layers of the zone. You wake a statue by fishing in its layer while holding that layer’s specific rod. Every catch carries a chance to trigger the awakening, so there is no guaranteed count. You have to keep fishing until the message fires.
| Layer | Rod required |
|---|---|
| Bellona’s Frenzy of War | Bellona’s Waraxe |
| Apollo’s Song of Light | Apollo’s Sunshot |
| Poseidon’s Storm of Floods | Poseidon’s Lance |
| Zeus’s Thunder of Chaos | Zeus’s Thundermaul |
| Hades’ Underworld of Indefinite | Hades’ Soul-Scythe |
A caption prints to your screen each time a statue wakes. Once all five confirmations have appeared, the hunt starts. Sundial Totems do not work here. There is no shortcut around the statue process.

Note: statue progress is server-based. If another player already woke a statue on your server, that layer counts for everyone, so you may only need to clear the layers still asleep. Check the statue eyes before you start fishing. Glowing eyes mean that layer is already done, so skip its designated spot.
The awakened state holds for 20 minutes after the hunt begins, then the statues return to slumber. If nothing is spawning after long stretches of fishing, switching servers can help you find one where the earlier statues are already active.
Olympian Devil catch stats and conditions
The Olympian Devil only bites under set conditions inside the Olympian Fissure. It requires Stormy weather at Night, uses no bait, and has no season requirement.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Secret |
| Location | Olympian Fissure |
| Weather | Stormy |
| Time | Night |
| Bait | None |
| Resilience | -150 (Extreme) |
| Progress Speed | -80% (Locked) |
| Passive Block | True |
| Avg. Kg | 1,550,000 |
| Avg. C$ | 62,000 |
| XP | 48,000 |

Best rod for the Olympian Devil minigame
The two stats that define this catch are the -80% locked progress speed and the Passive Block. Because passives are switched off during the minigame, none of your rod’s special abilities will fire. That means high base stats matter far more than a rod’s passive perks.
The fish also carries the combined attack sets of the Legionnaire Lamprey, Helios Sunray, Tidecrasher Archon, Kerauno Wyrm, and Styx Angler. All of those attack types fire at once, so the control bar becomes the deciding factor. A smaller control bar is easier to keep steady through the chaos.
Pinion’s Aria is the strongest pick here thanks to that small control bar handling the heavy volume of simultaneous attacks. Astraeus is a solid alternative because its instant catch passive can bypass the fight entirely. Bring endurance and luck consumables into the hunt if you have them.
Confirming the catch and the Godbreaker reward
A successful catch prints a system message naming the player who reeled it in, followed by the catch details in chat. Only one player can hook and land the Olympian Devil during a hunt, so coordinate if you are in a shared server.
Once caught, the Olympian Fissure pool drains and reveals a portal to the Olympian Godbreaker. That rod can be purchased for 50,000,000 C$, but only after you have completed all six Wrath of Olympus bestiaries at 100%. Catching the Devil is the trigger that opens the path; the bestiary completion and the coin cost are the final gates.
If the hunt never starts, the usual cause is a statue that has not woken yet. Recheck each statue’s eyes, confirm you used the correct rod for its layer, and remember that Sundial Totems cannot force the spawn. Keep fishing the sleeping layers until all five captions have appeared, and the Olympian Devil will surface in the fissure.
