Update 1.75 folded a wave of Tokyo Ghoul content into Anime Squadron, and the standout addition is Kan, a Mythic-rarity unit built around Ken Kaneki. Kan locks onto a single target and refuses to move to another enemy until the first one dies. Push him through both of his Awakenings and he becomes Kan (Ghoul), a Divine unit that stacks Bleed to gut boss and enemy regeneration.
Quick answer: Summon Kan from the Basic Banner or Selection Banner for 50 Gems per pull, then Awaken him twice to reach Kan (Ghoul), running Superior as his Trait.

How to get Kan from the banners
Kan drops from two gachas, the Basic Banner and the Selection Banner. Each pull costs 50 Gems, and his Mythic rarity means the odds of hitting him on any single summon are low. Plan your Gems around that instead of expecting a quick pull.

The Basic Banner rotates its featured units every hour. Kan is only available to summon when he sits in the middle of that banner, so time your pulls for when he appears. The Selection Banner works differently and lets you pick which Mythic character is featured, which is the more reliable route if you specifically want Kan.
Both banners share the same safety net. You are guaranteed a Mythic unit on your 250th summon, and the pity meter resets to zero the instant you pull any Mythic. That guarantee applies to Mythics as a group, so a lucky early Mythic still clears the counter.

Add to Google Preferences →Kan (Investigator) Awakening materials
The first Awakening turns the base unit into Kan (Investigator). Gather the items below from the listed Acts and Chapters, then Awaken through the Awakening chamber.
| Material | Amount | Where to farm |
|---|---|---|
| Yukimura | 1x | Chapter 1 of Ghoul City Challenge |
| Capsule | 100x | The Ice Continent Squadron Chapter 1 |
| Demon Blood Crystal | 15x | Infinity Train Story Act 9 and 10 |
| Gold | 7,500x | Story, Squadron, and Challenge levels |
Yukimura is the bottleneck here. It has a 0.5% drop rate with 200 pity in Chapter 1 of Ghoul City Challenge on Normal difficulty. Switching to Hard doubles that to a 1% drop chance with 100 pity, so run Hard if you can clear it consistently.
Kan (Ghoul) Awakening materials
The second Awakening evolves Kan (Investigator) into Kan (Ghoul) and bumps his rarity up to Divine. This step pulls from harder, later stages, so expect a longer grind than the first Awakening.

| Material | Amount | Where to farm |
|---|---|---|
| Warding Mask | 200x | Act 1 of Infinity Train Squadron |
| Demon Blood Crystal | 25x | Chapter 9 and 10 of Infinity Train Story |
| Chakra Fragment | 15x | Chapter 9 and 10 of Ninja Village Story |
| Eclipse Godstone | 15x | Chapter 9 and 10 of GT City Story |
| Ghoul Core | 1x | Path of the One-Eyed King special quest |
| Gold | 7,500x | Story, Squadron, and Challenge levels |
The Ghoul Core is the gate for this evolution. It is handed out only after you finish all five missions in the Path of the One-Eyed King questline, so clear that questline before you start burning materials elsewhere.
Kan (Ghoul) passive abilities
Kan (Ghoul) is built to lock down one target and bleed the whole map dry. His four passives feed into each other, and running multiple Kans amplifies almost all of them.
- Prey: Every Kan shares one target. The first enemy a Kan hits becomes the Prey, and all Kans focus it until it dies. Once it falls, the next enemy attacked becomes the new Prey.
- Sacrifice: Each time a Kan dies, all Kans gain +5% DMG, up to a +50% DMG cap. The Cloner or Rebirth Trait raises that cap by an extra +50%.
- Bleed Frenzy: Every hit adds an extra +5% Bleed dealt over 3 seconds. Whenever any enemy on the map dies with Bleed active, all Kans gain +2% Bleed and -3% cooldown, capping at 15 stacks. Bleed cuts regeneration by 75%.
- Devour: When Kan directly kills his Prey, all Ghoul Kans heal 5% HP and apply an extra +20% Bleed on all attacks for 10 seconds.
Note: because Sacrifice, Bleed Frenzy, and Devour all reference “all Kans,” a squad stacked with multiple copies compounds the damage and Bleed far faster than a single unit.
Best Trait for Kan (Ghoul)
Superior is the best Trait to run on Kan (Ghoul). If you are chasing the Sacrifice damage cap instead, Cloner or Rebirth is worth considering since either one lifts that ceiling by an additional +50% DMG.
Once both Awakenings are done, you’ll see his rarity read Divine and his model swap to the Ghoul form. With Bleed shredding regeneration by 75% and the shared Prey mechanic keeping every copy locked on one target, Kan (Ghoul) is at his most effective against bosses that heal or lean on high sustain.
