Dumud Gild is the closest thing Palworld 1.0 has to a money printer. It is the rare golden subspecies of Dumud, a Ground/Water Pal, and it earns gold two ways at once: it drops Gold Coins when defeated, and a captured one sells to a merchant for a sum that climbs with the Pal’s level. Big “millions per hour” numbers come from stacking a breeding factory on top of that sell price, not from the base drop.
Quick answer: Fish or breed Dumud Gild, level it if you can, then sell the caught Pals to a Wandering Merchant or the Black Marketeer. Each one sells for about 19,899 gold at Level 1 and roughly 56,953 at Level 50, doubled again if it is an alpha.

Where to get Dumud Gild
Dumud Gild does not walk around the overworld like an ordinary Pal. There are only two reliable ways to get one, and both are easy to start early.
Fishing is the main method. Park at a freshwater fishing node with a decent rod and reel it up. Good spots include the Desiccated Desert oases (the small desert lakes near the Sand Dunes Entrance are the easiest to reach), Oasis Isle, Eternal Summer Isle, and No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary. Note that Pals underwater cannot be caught with a thrown Sphere, and trying will make the fishing spot vanish, so you have to fish them out.
Breeding is the other route. Pair Dumud with Eikthyrdeer Terra to produce a Dumud Gild, and once you have two of them, Dumud Gild × Dumud Gild breeds true. That means a single pair can feed you an endless egg supply instead of fishing.

Keep these separate, because they are not the same income.
On defeat it drops Gold Coins. Beat one, and it drops 100–200 Gold Coins at a 50% rate, which works out to about 75 gold per kill on average. That per-kill figure is the one rock-solid, datamined constant here. It also drops Raw Dumud ×2 and High Quality Pal Oil ×1 every time.
Selling the caught Pal is the big earner. A captured Dumud Gild sells to a merchant for a large sum that scales with the Pal’s level. This is where the vast majority of the gold comes from, so the drop is best treated as a bonus while you farm.
Two smaller perks are worth knowing. Its partner skill, Golden Harvest, boosts the Gold Coins dropped by defeated enemies while it is in your party, so keeping one on the team pads your coin income during any combat. Parked in a Ranch, it also passively produces High Quality Pal Oil with a small chance of a Gold Coin.

Dumud Gild sell price by level
The sell price is the single most misquoted number in this topic. The figure of 19,900 you will often see is the base value, essentially its Level 1 price, not a ceiling. The price then rises in a straight line, following roughly 19,899 + (level − 1) × 756.2.
| Level | Base sell price |
|---|---|
| 1 | 19,899 |
| 10 | 26,705 |
| 20 | 34,267 |
| 30 | 41,829 |
| 40 | 49,391 |
| 50 | 56,953 |
| 80 | 79,639 |
Two multipliers stack on top of those numbers. A specimen with the Fine Fur + Noble passives sells for ×1.4, and an alpha sells for ×2. An alpha at Level 80 is therefore worth about 159,000 gold. The practical takeaway: level matters, but less than the old exaggerated tables implied. A Level 1 catch is already worth close to 19,900, while a Level 50 one is only about 2.9× that, not 60×.
Tip: The buyer’s Noble and Fine Furs passives raise the price you receive. Noble adds 5%, and Fine Furs adds another 3%, so a party of five Pals carrying both passives meaningfully lifts every sale.

The high-volume breeding factory
This is where the eye-catching totals come from. One documented run turned about 70 Vegetable Cakes into a single sale screen worth more than 12.6 million gold in roughly an hour. The setup is expensive to assemble, but the loop is simple once the right Pals and passives are ready. The trick is producing alpha eggs at scale, then swapping your party before you sell.
What you need first
- Two or more Dumud Gild with the Philanthropist passive for the Breeding Farm.
- A four-star Broncherry, four-star Broncherry Aqua, and four-star Grintale for egg collection.
- Five one-star Pals carrying both Noble and Fine Furs for the sale.
- A steady supply of Vegetable Cakes to keep the farm running.
The egg party is the engine. A four-star Broncherry converts 45% of your egg pickups into Alpha Eggs, and a four-star Broncherry Aqua covers the other 55%, so the two skills together push you to a 100% alpha conversion rate. A four-star Grintale then adds a 75% chance to receive one extra egg on each pickup, giving you frequent doubles. The bonuses fire the moment an egg enters your inventory, which is exactly why the party swap matters.

Run the loop
With the sales team active, a Level 1 Dumud Gild sells for about 55,720 gold each, and leveling past 50 pushes each one to roughly 120,000 gold or more. Selling large Level 1 batches keeps the farm moving fast, while leveling a chosen batch trades time for a bigger payout per Pal.
Note: A four-star Braloha speeds up Breeding Farm egg production by up to 50%, and Babysitter gives a 30% production and incubation bonus, but the two do not stack. Pick one. Building both for the same farm wastes effort.

Realistic gold per hour
Palworld does not publish a gold-per-hour rate for this, so any single figure is a model built on your own pace and sell price. The math is simple: gold per hour equals how many you sell or kill per hour multiplied by the gold each one is worth. The lever that matters most is sell price, meaning the level of the Pal you sell, not shaving seconds off each fishing trip.
As a sensitivity check, roughly six sales an hour at a modest 2,490 price lands near 15k/hour, while chasing catches worth around 20k at the same pace pushes you toward 120k/hour. The factory loop above is what scales this into the millions per batch, because it produces alpha, high-value Pals in bulk rather than one at a time.
There is also a passive option. Ten maxed Dumud Gild in Ranches (four-star, max souls, 4/4 passives) with maxed transporters can generate around 200k gold per hour, but Ranches cause heavy transport strain and major lag, and the rate is slow compared to active selling.

How to confirm it worked
You know a sale landed when the merchant’s confirmation screen shows the total gold added to your wallet and the Pals leave your box. If your payout looks low, the usual causes are equipping the wrong party at the moment of sale (the egg-collection Pals give no price bonus) or selling low-level, non-alpha catches. Empty your entire box in one merchant visit to avoid repeat trips, and keep a Golden Harvest Dumud Gild in your active party so the on-kill Gold Coin drops trickle in while you farm eggs or ore elsewhere.
Whether you fish a handful to bankroll an early base or build the full breeding line for seven-figure batches, Dumud Gild rewards one thing above all: selling high-level, alpha specimens with a Noble and Fine Furs party in tow. Get that party swap right, and the rest is just how many you can hatch.
