Eshmel starts Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave holding The Nameless, a spear that was broken long ago and patched together. The weapon has a full-power form called the Shining Spear. The only person who can restore it is Credna, the Spark of the Forge. Credna will not offer the repair until his temple is rebuilt and Eshmel brings the spear to him in person.

Quick answer: Spend one Lightstar to rebuild Credna’s Temple in Braxithea. Then go to Credna’s Branch Temple, answer “You may.” and “Please do.”, and The Nameless becomes the Shining Spear.

Shining Spear upgrade locations

The upgrade sends you to three regions. Each stop has one job.

LocationRegionWhy you go there
Midnight TurnLambathGather a Lightstar

Midnight Turn is a pass near Hannibal that gets no sunlight at all. Its gathering pool includes Linaria, Zang, Tea Tree, and Lightstar. Dragonbone Tangle is a dungeon with an ideal level of 63, so bring Eshmel and the party up to that range before heading into the desert.

How to turn The Nameless into the Shining Spear

Collect a single Lightstar at Midnight Turn, Lambath. Credna’s Temple requires no other material for reconstruction.
Open the world map, go to Credna’s Temple in Braxithea, and spend the Lightstar to rebuild it. The construction requirement shows as Lightstar 1/1 once you have the item. Rebuilding the temple also unlocks the Great Knight class.

Head into the Chronos Desert in Nysiades. Pass Baina Oasis, then take Tarvos North Road toward Dragonbone Tangle and collect the required item on that route. Dragonbone Tangle’s ore pool contains Smithing Stone, Sunstone, Lunar Stone, Agarthium, and Warrior’s Soulstone. The desert item isn’t named during the conversation with Credna, so clear this stretch before you go to him.

Travel to Credna’s Branch Temple. The quickest way is to open the Base Menu in Dagsion, go to the Base Map, and use the Gate of the Gods for Credna’s Temple. Inside, walk to the inner sanctum, where Credna stands with a yellow quest marker above his head.

Talk to Credna. Interested in the spear, he asks to inspect it. Select “You may.” He recognizes it as his own creation, now broken and repaired with equipment made by the People of the White Egg.

When Credna offers to restore the spear’s true power, choose “Please do.” He reforges the weapon right away.

If you decline Credna’s offer the first time, the upgrade is not lost. Talk to him again and the option to say “Please do.” comes back.

Confirming the Shining Spear transformation

A banner reading “A weapon has transformed” appears as soon as Credna finishes. It shows The Nameless changing into the Shining Spear. Open Eshmel’s inventory afterward. The Nameless is gone, and the Shining Spear sits in its place with these stats:

StatShining Spear
Durability20/20
Mt18
Wt7
Hit90
Avo / Crit0 / 0
Rng1
SkillA

The item description calls it a supreme Arc imbued with the power of the sun, and it lists the Sol combat art. If both the stats and the description match, the upgrade worked.

Sol combat art and Shining Spear durability

Sol comes only from the Shining Spear. It hits several times in one attack, and those hits restore Eshmel’s HP. That makes it a strong way to stay healthy during long fights.

The spear has only 20 durability. When it runs out, the game shows “Eshmel’s Shining Spear broke. Mt and Hit are decreased.” Save Sol for fights where the healing and extra hits matter most.

The weapon also suits Eshmel’s spear-focused classes, including Sentinel and The Trident, since both use spears as their main weapon. Once the spear is restored, every class Eshmel takes from that point on has access to Sol.
