Palworld 1.0: The Best Dandilord Build for Poison and Base Work

How to run Dandilord as a poison-stacking party Pal and a high-level Planting worker.

How to run Dandilord as a poison-stacking party Pal and a high-level Planting worker.

Dandilord is a Grass/Dark Pal added in the Palworld 1.0 update, and it fills two very different roles well. In your party, it spreads poison and shields your whole team from toxins. Back at base, it works as a strong Planting and crafting Pal. The build below covers both without wasting a slot.

Quick answer: Keep Dandilord in your party and activate its Partner Skill Mist Stalwart to add Poison to your own attacks, then equip Toxic Dance, Poison Promenade, and Wind Burst. For base duty, assign it to Planting (Level 8) and pair Artisan-type passives for faster crafting.

Mist Stalwart Partner Skill and why it carries the build

Mist Stalwart is the reason Dandilord earns a party slot. When you activate it, your own attacks start inflicting Poison on the target. It begins at two stacks and can be upgraded up to six, so every hit chips away at whatever you are fighting.

The defensive half of the skill is just as useful. While Dandilord is in your party, you and your other Pals gain immunity to Poison, and the toxic gas inside the World Tree area no longer affects you. That makes exploring the World Tree far easier, since the environmental toxin is normally a constant drain. Note that the effect does not stack, so one Dandilord is all you need.

Best combat Active Skills for Dandilord

Dandilord’s damage comes from its two exclusive skills, both of which leave lingering corrosive mist on the ground. Pair those with a strong single hit and you have a full loadout.

SkillLevelElementPowerNotes
Toxic Dance70Dark800Exclusive skill; releases corrosive mist that lingers in the area
Poison Promenade50Dark700Exclusive skill; charges forward while spraying mist
Wind Burst40Leaf600Summons a wind vortex for a strong burst of damage

Toxic Dance and Poison Promenade are unique to Dandilord and reward staying near the enemy, since the mist keeps damaging anything caught in it. Wind Burst covers moments when you need a clean, high-power hit rather than an area effect.

Best combat Passive Skills

For fighting, stack passives that raise raw attack. The four below give the largest offensive gains for a poison-focused party Pal.

  • Legend
  • Demon God
  • Serenity
  • Musclehead

Dandilord base build and Work Suitability

If you are not running poison in combat, Dandilord is still worth keeping because of its wide work spread. Its standout job is Planting at Level 8, but it also covers crafting, healing, and gathering.

For a base worker, swap the combat passives for ones that speed up jobs. These four are the most useful for craft and work output.

  • Remarkable Craftsmanship
  • Artisan
  • Work Slave
  • Serious

The same three Active Skills work fine for a base Pal, so you do not need a separate build if you rotate Dandilord between combat and base duty.

Dandilord stats and movement

Dandilord leans toward offense over bulk. Its shot attack of 135 is its best stat, while HP and defense sit in the middle of the pack.

Where to get Dandilord

Dandilord appears as a Level 78 Field Alpha Boss in the World Tree, located in the Rotmist Root to the northeast of the map. It does not spawn out in the overworld otherwise, so the boss encounter is the direct route to capturing one.

You can also obtain Dandilord through eggs and breeding. It hatches from a Huge Verdant Egg, and breeding two Dandilord together produces another Dandilord, which is handy for passing down high IVs and the passives listed above.

Best counters if you are fighting Dandilord

Because Dandilord is Grass/Dark, it is weak to Fire and Dragon damage. Eidrolon Ignis is one of the strongest picks thanks to that Fire/Dragon typing, and Chillet Ignis, Jormuntide Ignis, and Blazamut Ryu share the same type combination for the same advantage.

Run it as a poison spreader when you want status pressure, or as a Planting worker when you want base output. Either way, Mist Stalwart’s toxin immunity makes Dandilord one of the easier ways to move through the World Tree without taking constant chip damage.
