Raijin’s Core is the material that gates Electricity Fruit awakening, the Electro V2 fighting style, and the Golden Staff V2 weapon in Haze Seas. It cannot be traded, so the only way to stock up is by defeating the Raijin superboss on Rainbow Sky Island in Sea 3. Every kill hands you one Core, but getting to the fight takes some farming first.
Quick answer: Farm four Divine Sparks (0.5% drop from Rainbow Sky Island mobs), place one into each of the four pillars at the top of the island to spawn Raijin, then kill the boss. Raijin’s Core is a 100% drop.

What you need before farming
Raijin lives on Rainbow Sky Island, one of the newest areas in Sea 3. You need to reach that region before anything else applies. The boss sits at Level 5000 with 378,908 health and heavy short- and long-range lightning attacks, so bring a strong build and keep Observation Haki active to read its attack windows.
Farming is faster if your fruit can hit groups. The Divine Spark drop is rare, so a wide area attack from something like Phoenix or Dragon lets you clear packs of mobs quickly, even while AFK farming.

Note: The pillars have a one-hour cooldown before they can be charged again, which matches Raijin’s one-hour spawn timer. Plan repeat runs around that 60-minute window.
Beat the boss and confirm the drop
Defeat Raijin and the Core lands in your inventory automatically. It is a guaranteed 100% reward, so you never have to worry about a failed roll. The boss also has a 10% chance to drop a Blade Fragment and drops a single Divine Spark on death, which chips away at your next summon.
You will know it worked when Raijin’s Core appears in your item list after the kill. If you want the full Electricity awakening kit, keep the loop going, since one Core alone will not cover every requirement.
What Raijin’s Core unlocks
Because Cores stack up across three separate upgrades, it is worth farming a surplus before you start spending them. Here is how many each unlock asks for and where to turn them in.
| Unlock | Where | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Electro V2 | Sage of Combat, Land of the Gods (Sea 3) | 300 Mastery on Electro V1, 2 Raijin’s Core, 500 Gems |
| Awakened Electricity Fruit | Poneglyph, Sea 3 | 300 Mastery on Electricity Fruit, at least 8 Raijin’s Core, plus extra Cores to unlock each skill |
| Golden Staff V2 | Doran the Forge, Land of the Gods (Sea 3) | 300 Mastery on Golden Staff V1, 1 Raijin’s Core, 2,000,000 Cash |
For the Electricity awakening specifically, you first reach 300 Mastery on the fruit and gather at least eight Cores, then interact with the Poneglyph to trigger the awakening. Unlocking the individual moves of the Awakened Electricity Fruit costs more Cores on top of that, so treat this as an ongoing farm rather than a one-time trip.
The math is simple once you know it. Raijin’s Core itself is never the bottleneck, since every boss kill guarantees one. The real grind is the 0.5% Divine Spark drop that lets you summon the fight at all, so lean on cluster farming and bank sparks whenever the pillars are off cooldown.
