The Secret-rarity Update 4.25 unit drops from Universal Football, with a full evolution list and ability breakdown.

Blue Rose is a Secret-rarity unit added to Universal Tower Defense Z in Update 4.25, arriving alongside The Egoist. He fights around an Impact gauge that speeds up his attacks as it fills, and he layers heavy damage-over-time through thorns while chaining follow-up hits based on whether he is holding the ball.

Quick answer: Clear the Universal Football game mode and hope for the 15% Blue Rose drop. There is no pity system, so keep replaying the mode until he appears in your inventory.

How to get Blue Rose in Universal Tower Defense Z

Blue Rose is a farmable drop from Universal Football, the soccer-style mode where the goal is to score as many goals as possible. He has a 15% drop chance from that stage, which makes him fairly rare to land.

Unlike many Secret units, Blue Rose is not backed by a pity counter. Every attempt is a fresh roll of that 15% chance, so the only way to speed things up is to run Universal Football repeatedly until the drop lands.

You know it worked when Blue Rose appears in your unit inventory after finishing a Universal Football run. If he does not show up, the run simply did not roll the drop, and you need to play the mode again.

Blue Rose (Reborn) evolution materials

Once you own Blue Rose, you can evolve him into Blue Rose (Reborn). The materials mix Challenge mode fragments with extra items you farm from Universal Football, plus a Gold cost. Gather everything below before starting the evolution.

MaterialAmountWhere to get it

Note: Universal Football pulls double duty here. Alongside Blue Rose himself, it supplies the Sealed Rose and the Footballs, so plan to sit in that mode for a while.

Blue Rose abilities and how they work

Blue Rose carries five abilities that revolve around his Impact gauge, thorn damage, and ball-based follow-ups. His priority is locked to Strongest, so he automatically funnels his hits into the toughest target on the field.

Blue Impact

Blue Rose holds an Impact Charge. For every 20% of the Impact gauge that fills, he cuts his SPA by 2.5%, meaning a full gauge steadily raises his attack speed.

Thorny Roses

When he attacks, he leaves thorns on the ground for 15 seconds. Enemies that walk over the thorns take a 25% Slow debuff and 60% of his damage each second. This effect can trigger once every 20 seconds.

Lost Child

While Blue Rose has the ball, his hits make enemies take 20% extra damage from Rose Element units for 15 seconds. While he does not have the ball, he performs follow-up attacks for 100% damage alongside whichever unit currently holds it.

Back to Zero

His targeting priority is set to Strongest. After hitting the same target four times, he fires a follow-up for 200% damage, applies thorns, and adds 50% to his Impact gauge. If an enemy dies before that fifth hit, his next two attacks apply thorns and raise the Impact gauge by 25%, then the passive goes on cooldown for 10 attacks.

Beinschuss

This active ability unlocks on the final upgrade and can only fire when the Impact gauge is full. It resets the gauge to 0%, deals 500% damage to every enemy on the map, and applies thorns. The trade-off is heavy. Blue Rose is stunned and cannot attack for 45 seconds afterward, and the ability is usable again after 120 seconds.

Frequently asked questions

What rarity is Blue Rose?

Blue Rose is a Secret-rarity unit, one of two Secrets released with Update 4.25.

What does Blue Rose specialize in?

He specializes in damage-over-time through thorns and follow-up attacks that shift depending on the state of his Impact gauge and whether he is holding the ball.

No. He drops at 15% from Universal Football with no pity backup, so acquiring him depends entirely on RNG.
