Universal Tower Defense Z: How to Win Universal Football for Kaiser and Ace

What the Universal Footballers event rewards, the team to bring, and the codes to redeem before your run.

What the Universal Footballers event rewards, the team to bring, and the codes to redeem before your run.

Update 4.25 drops a football-themed event into Universal Tower Defense Z, built around the World Cup finale and the arrival of Blue Lock and Inazuma Eleven units. The whole point of the run is to clear the event stage cleanly so you walk away with the new footballer units, including Kaiser and Ace, instead of an empty reward screen.

Quick answer: Redeem the active reroll and gem codes, field an AoE-heavy team led by current S-tier carries such as Moonless Sky and The Almighty King with Virtual Idol as support, then clear every wave of the event stage without letting enemies leak to your base. The featured footballer units land in your collection once the stage is cleared.

What the Universal Footballers event is

Universal Tower Defense Z is a Roblox anime tower defense game where you summon units, evolve them, tune traits and relics, and hold off waves across Story, Infinite, Raids, and limited events. Update 4.25, named Universal Footballers, ties its content to the World Cup finale and brings the Blue Lock and Inazuma Eleven rosters into the game.

Kaiser and Ace sit among the new arrivals from that crossover, alongside additions like The Egoist (Rebel), Blue Rose (Reborn), and Ace Eater (Zombie). Because these are event-tied units, the reliable way to collect them is to actually beat the football stage rather than wait for a random summon.

Redeem codes before you queue

Free codes hand you trait rerolls, gems, and shards that make it far easier to field a maxed team going into the event. Redeem them first so you are not grinding resources mid-run.

To redeem, open the game and click the blue Codes icon on the right side of the lobby screen. Paste each code exactly as written, then press Redeem. The rewards drop straight into your account, and expired codes simply return an error instead of granting anything.

Build a team that can clear the stage

The event is a wave-clear, so raw single-target damage is not enough on its own. Pair a couple of top carries with area damage and one strong support buffer to keep the whole board firing at full strength.

UnitRoleWhy it works
Moonless SkyBoundless DPS · DarkTop Boundless carry in the current meta
The Almighty KingBoundless DPS · DarkScales through Blue Burn, stronger with more allies in range
Joyful CaptainDPS · FireStrong damage over time for sustained waves
Triple Threat (Unrivaled)Ground DPS · WindReliable ground-lane coverage
Virtual IdolSupportTeam-wide buffs that lift your carries’ output
BulmoEconomyFaster gold for early upgrades in the run

Virtual Idol and Bulmo are the two support picks worth slotting on nearly every account, since one boosts damage and the other speeds up your economy. If you are still building up, Revolutionary Chief is an accessible early carry that holds a lane while your stronger units come online. Prioritizing area-of-effect damage is the fastest way to thin out clustered waves before they pile up.

Note: Ruler is the strongest trait at a 0.1% roll rate for +200% damage, but only one Ruler unit is allowed per team, so put it on your main carry.

Run the event and confirm the win

Redeem every active code from the table above so your rerolls, gems, and shards are ready before you enter the match.
Lock in your six-slot roster with two carries, area damage, and Virtual Idol. Reroll traits toward Ruler on your primary damage dealer if you have the rerolls to spare.
Enter the Universal Footballers event stage and place your economy and support units first, then drop carries as gold allows. Use E to upgrade a unit and R to sell one that is out of position.
Focus AoE on the entry points so waves are cleared before they reach your base. Press Space to skip a wave timer once a lane is stable and you want to speed the run along.
Hold the line through the final wave. When the stage completes, the event units, including Kaiser and Ace, appear in your unit collection, which confirms the clear registered.

Why runs fail

Most losses come from a few avoidable problems rather than bad luck. Check these before you retry.

  • Too much single-target damage and not enough AoE, so grouped waves slip through.
  • Skipping the support slot, which leaves your carries under-buffed against tankier late waves.
  • Weak economy early, meaning your strong units are placed too late to matter.
  • Traits left un-rerolled on your main carry, cutting your ceiling damage.

Fix the roster gaps, spend your reroll stockpile on the right unit, and re-enter the stage. A clean clear is repeatable once your team is buffed, your carries are upgraded on time, and no enemies are leaking to your base.
