Palworld: How to Get Bellanoir Libero (Raid Boss and Huge Dark Egg)

Bellanoir Libero is a Dark-element raid boss in Palworld, listed as Paldeck No. 195B. It never spawns in the open world, and you cannot catch it during the fight. The only way to own one is to summon it, defeat it, and hatch the Huge Dark Egg it leaves behind.

Quick answer: Collect four Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments from high-level dungeon chests, combine them at a workbench into a Bellanoir Libero’s Slab, place it on a Summoning Altar (unlocked at Level 33), beat both phases of the fight, then incubate the Huge Dark Egg that drops.

What you need before summoning Bellanoir Libero

Two technology unlocks stand between you and this raid, and both are tied to level requirements. The boss is tuned for endgame play, so treat Level 50 as the practical floor even though the game technically lets you challenge it earlier.

Note: the Summoning Altar can only be used once, so keep the 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments stocked in a nearby chest before you build it. You will need to rebuild it for every additional run.

Where to farm Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments

You need four Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments in total. These are the higher-tier fragments and only appear in high-level dungeon chests. Don’t confuse them with plain Bellanoir’s Slab Fragments, which drop at lower levels and summon the weaker Level 30 Bellanoir instead.

Focus on dungeons in the snowy, desert, and volcanic regions, including the Astral Mountains area where most caverns sit around Level 45. Rush past enemies to the boss room, then open the two purple or golden chests near the exit crystal. Those end chests can drop either a fragment or, on lucky runs in snow-region dungeons, a complete slab that skips the crafting step.

Fragments can also appear at random in chests across high-level areas and Wildlife Sanctuaries. For a passive supplement, send runs from the Pal Expedition Station to Blazing Cavern and Astral Frost Cavern, which generate fragments over time. Those expeditions stay locked until you clear each area’s tower boss, so check your tower progress first.

Craft the slab and start the raid

Combine your four Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments into a Bellanoir Libero’s Slab. Any standard workbench or production line handles this, so no special station is required.
Build a Summoning Altar at your base using 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments. It appears in the technology tree at Level 33. Place it away from your work objects, because the fight will destroy anything within range.
Interact with the altar and select the Bellanoir Libero’s Slab from the offering menu. When prompted, choose whether to run the fight at your base or in a dedicated raid area. A separate arena keeps your main base safe.
Trigger the summon to begin the 10-minute battle. In co-op, the player who offers the slab and starts the raid is the one who receives the reward egg, so make sure that is you if you want the Pal.

The two-phase fight and its type shift

The mistake that ends most first attempts is bringing a single-type team. Bellanoir Libero opens as a pure Dark type with 450,000 HP. Once you drop it to 1 HP, it fires a freezing burst in every direction, heals back roughly a third of its health, and permanently becomes an Ice type for the rest of the battle.

The important detail is that it does not learn Ice active skills after transforming, so your Dragon Pals stay safe on offense even in the second phase. Its signature moves include wide dark beams that pierce through walls and homing dark orbs, so keep your Pals spread at angles rather than clumped together.

Team, gear, and weapons for the raid

A well-invested Chillet works as your mount because attacking while riding it infuses your own shots with Dragon damage, which shreds the Dark phase. Pair it with a support line of Gobfin, and the Vanguard passive on all of them pushes your player damage higher. Jormuntide Ignis earns its slot for both phases, since its Fire attacks stay super-effective after the Ice shift.

Astegon is the standout base defender because it quad-resists Bellanoir Libero’s Dark attacks. Set every Pal in place before you summon the boss, since you cannot rearrange your base defenders once the fight begins.

Rewards and hatching the Huge Dark Egg

A win drops several items, but the one that matters for adding the Pal is the Huge Dark Egg. It lands in the inventory of the player who initiated the raid. Place it in any Egg Incubator, and it hatches into a Bellanoir Libero that registers in your Paldeck as No. 195B.

You know it worked when the Huge Dark Egg shows up after the victory screen and hatches into the Pal. In co-op, the usual reason the egg never appears is that a teammate started the raid instead of you, since only the initiator receives it. Once you have a male and a female, you can breed more at a Breeding Farm.

The Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) version

Every clear also hands you a Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) Slab, and this is the only way to reach the Ultra fight. Place that slab on a Summoning Altar to summon a version with 900,000 HP, double the standard total, while keeping the same 10-minute timer and the same Dark-to-Ice pattern.

The Ultra fight shares the same drop table with one addition, the exclusive Witch’s Crown (Ultra) headgear, which offers 80 Health, 30 Defense, and Dragon Damage Reduction. Keep in mind that its Huge Dark Egg still only hatches a regular Bellanoir Libero, not an Ultra. Condense and level your roster before attempting it, and restock fragments so you always have another slab ready when the altar burns out.
