Creature Missions are the fastest way to unlock playable species in Creatures of Sonaria without spending Shrooms on gachas. Each mission is a small set of objectives, and clearing every task in a set awards you the creature attached to it. Some sets are fully visible from the start, while others stay hidden until you complete them.
Quick answer: Open the Creature Missions tab (the clipboard icon on the bottom left of the main menu, or the icon near the minimap while playing), pick a creature, and complete all of its listed tasks. Finishing the final task in a set grants that creature immediately.
Find and track Creature Missions
You can reach the mission list two ways. From the main menu, select the clipboard symbol on the bottom left and open the tab labeled Creatures. While you are already playing on a creature, use the icon near the minimap in the top right.
Inside the tab you can view every mission and set one to track. Entries near the bottom of the list appear blacked out. These are the secret missions, and their tasks stay hidden until you complete them, though you can still see the reward creature’s silhouette and name.

Visible missions and their objectives
Nine creatures come with objectives shown up front. Tasks in a set do not all need to be done on the same creature, so you can spread progress across multiple runs.

Secret missions and their objectives
Eight creatures keep their tasks hidden until you finish them, and several demand rarer conditions like Blood Moons or Goliath-class tornadoes. Here is what each secret set requires.

Confirm a mission is complete
When you finish the last task in a set, the game awards the linked creature and the mission moves to a completed state in the Creatures tab. The species then becomes selectable when you choose a creature to play. For secret missions, the hidden objectives reveal themselves once the set is done, which confirms exactly what you cleared.
Why a task might not count
A few objectives have strict conditions that stop progress if you use the wrong setup.
- Frigiboa’s rotting meat only counts if it comes from player meat. Naturally spawning food does not turn into rotting meat, and you need the Iron Stomach ability to eat it.
- Arsonos requires you to already be at low health before a meteor strikes, since meteors often do little damage on their own.
- Yenyasha’s non-aquatic thunderstorm task accepts anything except a pure aquatic creature, including semi-aquatics, glider semi-aquatics, and all-terrains.
- Vaumora’s tornado requirement only accepts Goliath-class tornadoes, the rarest and most dangerous type, so weaker storms will not advance it.
Work through the visible sets first to learn the game’s seasons, abilities, and gacha types, then chase the secret missions once you know how weather events and disasters spawn. Every completed set adds a free creature to your roster, so clearing the full list steadily expands what you can play.
