+1 Speed Monkey Escape: All 9 Sunken Shard Locations for the x2 Speed Treadmill

Collecting every Sunken Shard from the lobby through Stage 9 unlocks a free x2 Speed Treadmill for training.

Collecting every Sunken Shard from the lobby through Stage 9 unlocks a free x2 Speed Treadmill for training.

There are nine Sunken Shards scattered across +1 Speed Monkey Escape, and they sit everywhere from the starting lobby to the water-filled platforms of Stage 9. Grab all nine and the game hands you a free x2 Speed Treadmill, which is one of the fastest ways to train up your Monkey without spending Robux.

Quick answer: Collect two Sunken Shards in the main lobby, one on Stage 2, one on Stage 3, one on Stage 4, one on Stage 6, two on Stage 7, and the last on Stage 9. Finishing the set unlocks the x2 Speed Treadmill.

What the Sunken Shards unlock

The reward for gathering all nine is a permanent x2 Speed Treadmill. It doubles the speed you build while training, so the earlier you complete the set, the faster every later run becomes. The first few shards are out in the open, but several are tucked behind walls or off the edge of a platform, which is where most players get stuck.

Two Sunken Shards in the main lobby

The first shard sits behind the Top Robux leaderboard on the left as soon as you spawn. Walk around the back of that structure and it is waiting in the corner.

For the second one, find the tall vertical jump booster on the left side of the lobby. Build up some speed, use the booster to launch up to the ledge above, and check the corner for the shard.

Sunken Shards on Stages 2, 3, and 4

On Stage 2, head to the middle of the stage and look toward the small pillar on the left. The shard is at the bottom, so dive down to grab it as you fall. You will die in the process, but the shard still counts.

Stage 3 hides its shard behind a large wooden block on the right side at the far end. You need enough speed to climb over the right booster and drop down on the other side to reach it.

Stage 4 keeps its shard up high. Use the vertical boosters at the start to jump onto the top of the stage, then move to the left and follow it to the end, just before Stage 5 begins.

Stage 6 and the two Stage 7 Sunken Shards

Stage 6 uses floating platforms over water. Jump forward to the first central platform, then immediately jump again to the second one. Walk to the edge of that second platform and the shard is sitting just below it.

Stage 7 is a grassy area with canyons, and it holds two shards near the end. Head toward the three green platforms and check the central one for the seventh shard. The eighth is on a small ledge to the side of the last platform, right next to it.

The final Sunken Shard on Stage 9

The last shard is on Stage 9. Jump across to the third central platform while dodging the Tsunami waves rushing toward you. Once you land, the shard is in the right-side corner of that platform.

Common reasons a Sunken Shard won’t collect

Once you touch the ninth shard, the x2 Speed Treadmill becomes available, confirming the set is complete. If you are still short, a few things usually explain it.

  • Falling into the lava on Stage 4 sends you back to Stage 1, so you have to run through the earlier stages again before retrying.
  • Several shards, like the ones behind the Stage 3 wooden block and on top of Stage 4, need high speed to clear the boosters. Train more before attempting them.
  • The shards on Stage 2 and Stage 6 are below platform edges, so you must dive off to reach them rather than staying on the path.

Work through the areas in order, keep your speed high for the booster jumps, and you will have all nine shards and the x2 Speed Treadmill in a single run through the map.
