Two funny Meme looks, a shocked face with neon green hair in a yellow raincoat and a sad clown in a neon lettering jacket over a pink ball dress, with the exact shelves, colors and poses.

Meme (searched most as “meme dti”) is one of the round themes in Dress To Impress on Roblox. The game gives only the name, so we read it as a funny, over-the-top look that gets a laugh on the runway: loud colors that clash, pieces that do not belong together, an exaggerated face and a pose that sells the joke. We did not copy any particular meme. We built two looks in Freeplay Mode and took our own pictures of every step. Every piece and color here worked without Robux, so both looks work without VIP. For the other themes, see every Dress To Impress theme we have built.

Quick answer: For Meme, wear a shocked open-mouth face, neon green hair, a yellow raincoat, yellow rain boots and a hot pink mini, or a sad clown face, orange hair and a neon green lettering jacket over a pale pink ball dress.

Meme outfit ideas in Dress To Impress

Dress To Impress shows no item names, so every piece here is described by where it sits, what it looks like and its color on the Default palette (columns from the left: 1 red, 2 pink, 3 purple, 4 blue, 5 cyan, 6 mint, 7 green, 8 yellow, 9 orange; rows run light to dark). Click a piece to preview it on you, set each part’s color while it is still a preview, then press the floating “Put On” label. The black top and shorts in some pictures are the base body; the clothes cover them.

The two looks start from different base pieces: Look 1 from the yellow raincoat on the Halloween display in the Dressing Room hall, Look 2 from a lettering jacket on the jackets wall and a pale pink ball dress from the party-dress shelf. Both use the same long sleek hair in a new color and a face card that does most of the joke. We used no props, signs, hats or jewelry.

Look 1: Shocked face, neon green hair and a yellow raincoat

Our idea: rain gear on a fashion runway, in the loudest yellow the game has, with neon green hair, a flash of hot pink and a face that looks shocked by the whole thing.

Get the long, sleek hair from the Straight tab at the hair chairs in Lana’s Salon (press E, then Hairstyles). Open the Wearing panel and click the hair picture: its color panel opens at “1/1: Preview”. On the Palette tab, click a bright green in column 7. The hair turns neon green.

Sit at the makeup vanity in Lana’s Salon and open the Feminine tab. The first card in row 1 is the empty one that clears the face; pick the middle card in row 2: wide eyes, raised brows and an open mouth, a shocked face. The seat has a 3:00 timer; press Space to leave.

Walk to the round Halloween display in the Dressing Room hall, with pumpkins and a cauldron around its base. The mannequin on the left wears a bright yellow hooded raincoat with yellow rain boots.

Click the raincoat. The panel opens at “1/1: Preview”: it has one part, and its own yellow is the color we wanted, so press “Put On” as it is.

Click the rain boots on the same mannequin. They preview on you in yellow at “1/1: Preview”; keep the yellow and press “Put On”.

Click the plaid pleated mini with chains on the mannequin beside it. The panel opens at “1/3: Preview”.
Set part 1 to a hot pink in column 2 and press “Put On”. Only a short band of hot pink skirt shows under the coat, and that is the point: it clashes with the yellow.

Open the Wearing panel to check the look. It shows four pictures: the hair, the raincoat, the boots and the mini. A heart X under each picture takes that piece off.

Open Poses. The Solo list starts with Satin, Lilac, Dazzle, Pearly, Crystal, Sparkle and Daisy. We used Pearly, a hand pressed to the forehead as in the front picture, which plays up the shocked face; Lilac, a hand on the hip, also works.

Look 2: Sad clown face, orange hair and a neon jacket over a pink ball dress

Our idea: a sad clown dressed for a ball by someone who grabbed the wrong jacket, with orange hair, a neon green and purple jacket and a soft pink gown that do not match on purpose.

Take Look 1 off: open the Wearing panel and click the heart X under the raincoat, the boots and the mini. Only the hair stays, and the base black top and shorts show again.
Click the hair picture in the Wearing panel and, on the Palette tab, click a bright orange in column 9. The same sleek hair turns orange.

Back at the makeup vanity, open the Feminine tab again and pick the middle card in row 1: a sad clown face, with a white face, black eye makeup, red tear lines running down from the eyes and black heart-shaped lips.

Walk to the party-dress shelf and click the pale pink corset ball dress in the middle of the lower row (the same dress we turned burnt orange in our Dark Harvest outfit ideas). The panel opens at “1/2: Preview”; keep its pale pink and press “Put On”. The jacket stays on over it.

From a second angle, the clash shows just as well: neon green sleeves, orange hair over the shoulder and the pale pink skirt falling to the yellow and pink boots.

Why these looks read as Meme

Meme has no set look, so the aim is a look the room laughs with. Both of ours do it the same way: colors that fight each other (neon green against bright yellow and hot pink; orange hair against a neon jacket and a soft pink gown), pieces that do not belong together (rain gear on a runway, a loud lettering jacket over a ball dress), and a face card that overacts. Then a pose finishes the joke. That is plain styling advice; we have not seen how either look scores in a real round.

How to change a piece’s colors

  1. Click the piece so it previews on you. The panel opens at part 1 (“1/3: Preview” and so on); the arrows beside it step through the parts.
  2. Click a heart on the Palette for each part while it is still a preview, then press the floating “Put On” label.
  3. To change a piece you already wear, open the Wearing panel and click its picture: its color panel opens again and you can set any part. That is how we turned the hair neon green for Look 1 and orange for Look 2.
  4. To take a piece off, click the heart X under its picture in the Wearing panel.

Meme colors on the Default palette

Columns count from the left, rows from the top. The brightest hearts sit in the middle rows; the raincoat, rain boots and ball dress keep the colors they come in.

Poses for Meme

Any free pose from the Poses menu works; the Solo list starts with Satin, Lilac, Dazzle, Pearly, Crystal, Sparkle and Daisy. A pose that acts out the face helps the joke: we used Pearly, a hand to the forehead, for the shocked raincoat look, and a hand raised to the head for the sad clown. For the full list with a picture of each, see every free pose in Dress To Impress.

Building it in Freeplay Mode first

Freeplay Mode has no timer, so it is the place to find the pieces and try colors without a round running out. A clash look needs a few tries to get the colors loud enough, and here both looks also needed a trip to the vanity. The raincoat, rain boots and mini are on the Halloween display, the jacket on the jackets wall, the dress and boots by the party-dress shelf, and the hair and faces in Lana’s Salon. Once a look works, you know where to go when Meme comes up in a real round. How a theme round works

We have not had Meme as a round yet; this is from ordinary server rounds on other themes. On the main lobby, the theme shows in a banner at the top with a timer under it. After dressing, each player walks the runway in turn, about 7 seconds each, while the others vote with five stars along the bottom of the screen, with a “Voting complete!” banner between players. A “Results” card then ranks the players, followed by an “Intermission” countdown.

The “Pick Theme” button next to the intermission timer lets you choose the theme, but only with Theme Props. The panel reads “You have: 0 Theme Props” and offers a “Buy More” button priced at 75 Robux. We bought none and saw no free ones, so without Robux you wait for Meme to roll.

What we have not checked

No round we joined rolled Meme, so these looks have not walked a real round: there is no score, star count or vote for them. We did not try props, signs, hats or jewelry, and we did not search every shelf for them. We tried two face cards for this theme, not every card on the vanity. Both looks use the same sleek straight hair; we did not build other hairstyles. Both looks were built with 0 stars, and nothing was bought.

FAQ

What is the Meme theme in Dress To Impress?

It is a round theme. The game shows only the name, so players dress for a funny, over-the-top look: clashing colors, pieces that do not go together, an exaggerated face and a pose that plays along.

What should I wear for Meme in DTI?

A shocked open-mouth face, neon green hair, a bright yellow raincoat, yellow rain boots and a hot pink mini, or a sad clown face, orange hair and a neon green lettering jacket with purple lettering over a pale pink ball dress, with pink and yellow fluffy boots.

Can I do Meme without VIP?

Yes. Both looks were built on an account with no VIP and 0 stars, and every piece, face card and color used here worked on it.

Which faces are funny for Meme in Dress To Impress?

We used two from the Feminine tab at the makeup vanity in Lana’s Salon: the middle card in row 2, a shocked face with an open mouth, and the middle card in row 1, a sad clown with tear lines and black heart-shaped lips.

Where is the yellow raincoat in DTI?

On the round Halloween display in the Dressing Room hall, on the left mannequin, together with the yellow rain boots.

How do I make neon hair in Dress To Impress?

Open the Wearing panel, click your hair’s picture and, on the Palette tab, click one of the bright hearts in the middle rows: column 7 for neon green, column 9 for bright orange.
