The Familial Jewel arrived with the Extermination Event Part 2 update as a Vanguard Familiar built for one unit only, Dawntay (Jackpot). Vanguard Familiars stay locked to their matching character, so this jewel does nothing on any other unit. When you slot it onto Dawntay (Jackpot), it stacks three passives that pile on damage and hand him strong defensive counters.
Quick answer: Clear the Dawntay Unit Trial stage in Martial Island Story Act 1. The Familial Jewel is a guaranteed drop the moment you finish that run, then equip it to Dawntay (Jackpot) from the Familiar tab.

Where to find the Familial Jewel
There is no random drop chance to worry about here. The Familial Jewel comes straight from the Dawntay Unit Trial, and clearing that trial once is enough to secure it.

Equipping the jewel adds three passives on top of Dawntay (Jackpot)’s base kit. Together they push a large flat damage boost, combo-scaling buffs, and full status immunity with a punishing counter.
| Passive | Effect |
|---|---|
| In Debt | Raises Dawntay (Jackpot)’s damage by 8,000%. |
| Don’t Say It | While transformed, he ignores his animation lockout but cannot attack faster than once per second. Combo ranks grant timed buffs: A gives +10% damage for 20 seconds, S gives +20% for 30 seconds, SS gives +40% for 60 seconds, and SSS grants Overcrit for 60 seconds. |
| Royal Guard | He becomes immune to status debuffs and status effects. Anytime one is attempted on him, he counters for 300% damage that is guaranteed to crit, at most once per attack he lands (a damage instance, not an attack). |
The Don’t Say It buffs reward pushing your combo rank as high as possible, since the SSS tier swaps the flat damage window for Overcrit. Royal Guard, meanwhile, keeps Dawntay (Jackpot) reliable against enemies that would otherwise stun, slow, or debuff him.
Confirming the equip worked
After equipping, Dawntay (Jackpot)’s Familiar slot shows the Familial Jewel, and the three passives listed above appear on his info panel. Because the In Debt boost is flat and permanent, you should see his damage output jump immediately once he is placed in a match.
Note: The jewel only functions on Dawntay (Jackpot). If the equip option is greyed out, you are trying to attach it to a different unit, which the game does not allow for Vanguard Familiars.
With those passives active, Dawntay (Jackpot), an Exclusive-rarity unit, becomes viable as one of your primary damage dealers in the current meta, largely on the strength of the massive flat boost and the combo-based buffs the Familial Jewel stacks on top.
