Hair Bells is a Secret-rarity Unit Equipment in Anime Expeditions built for a single character, the evolved 8th Sword (Berserk). Slotting it on adds Damage and Range, but the real value is that it swaps the unit’s default passive for two aggressive abilities. It only comes from one place in the game.

Quick answer: Farm Act 1 of the Spirit City Raid on Mastery difficulty. Hair Bells drops at a 5% rate per clear, and a 20-run pity guarantees it if you have not received it by the twentieth completion. You can also craft it at the Armory Forge in the Expedition Hub.

Where Hair Bells drops in Anime Expeditions

The Spirit City Raid is split into three acts, and Hair Bells only appears in the Act 1 Mastery pool. Every clear rolls an independent 5% chance for the piece. If it has not dropped after several attempts, the pity counter forces it on your twentieth completed run, so the equipment is guaranteed within 20 clears at most.

If you would rather not rely on the drop, the Armory Forge inside the Expedition Hub lets you craft Hair Bells directly using Expedition materials gathered from the Expeditions game mode. Both routes give the same equipment.

Evolve 8th Sword into 8th Sword (Berserk) first

Hair Bells will not slot onto the base 8th Sword. You need the evolved 8th Sword (Berserk) before the equipment can be equipped. Evolution starts with the 8th’s Sword material, obtained from the Way of the Strongest trial in the Spirit City Raid.

Once the unit reaches 8th Sword (Berserk), it becomes eligible to hold Hair Bells.

Hair Bells stats and passives

Hair Bells carries two rollable substats that are randomized the moment you obtain it. You can improve them afterward with Equipment Rerolls, and lock a good roll in place with an Equipment Lock before rerolling the rest.

  • Damage: +1% to +10%
  • Range: +1% to +5%

More important than the stats, the equipment overrides the unit’s original passive with two abilities.

Demonic Presence

Any enemy standing within 50% of the unit’s attack range takes 15% of 8th Sword (Berserk)’s current Damage every second. This is constant area pressure, so it rewards keeping the unit close to enemy paths and clumped waves.

Savage Rebound

Whenever the unit is stunned, the stun is immediately cleansed and the unit fires a Thunderclap Cut follow-up attack for 125% of its current Damage. On top of that, every follow-up attack from the unit applies the Dismembered effect, which permanently slows affected enemies to 0.85x movement speed. Together the two passives let the unit shrug off crowd control while chipping away at everything nearby.

Confirm the equipment is working

Open the Items menu and try to equip Hair Bells onto 8th Sword (Berserk). Unit-specific gear refuses to attach to any other character, so if it slots in successfully you have the right unit. Once equipped, the unit’s stat panel updates with the new Damage and Range bonuses, and the passive text switches to Demonic Presence and Savage Rebound. If Hair Bells will not equip, the most common reason is that the unit is still the base 8th Sword and has not been evolved yet.
