Moonlight Peaks Loveage Festival: Spring 20–21 Dates and Gift Exchange

When the romance festival runs, who hosts it, and how the secret-admirer gift swap actually works.

When the romance festival runs, who hosts it, and how the secret-admirer gift swap actually works.

The Loveage Festival is the spring romance event in Moonlight Peaks, a two-night celebration built around gifting, food, and flowers. It runs on a fixed calendar date each year, brings out special stalls, and lets you quietly single out the residents you want to grow closer to.

Quick answer: The Loveage Festival takes place on Spring 20 and Spring 21. Visit on Saturday (Spring 20) to secretly pick up to three residents you admire, then return on Sunday (Spring 21) for the gift exchange to complete it.

When the Loveage Festival happens and who hosts it

The festival occupies two in-game nights, Spring 20 and Spring 21, so it lands late in the spring season every year. It is hosted by Llemi, the “Love Demon,” who runs the celebration across both evenings.

Three residents set up for the event. Elvira sells food, furnishings, and blueprints; Mina lays out a communal buffet; and Luna runs a flower-arranging stall with blooms tied to the event. Because everything in town keeps vampire hours, the festival plays out at night like the rest of the game.

How the secret-admirer gift exchange works

The centerpiece of the festival is a gift exchange split across the two nights. You choose who you admire on the first night, and the actual swap happens on the second.

On Saturday, Spring 20, open the gift exchange and pick up to three NPCs as the residents you secretly admire. This selection is what sets up the next night, so make your choices before the first evening ends.
On Sunday, Spring 21, return for the exchange itself. This is when gifts are handed out, so plan to attend both nights rather than only one.

Luna’s event-only flowers double as strong gifts for the exchange, so it is worth stopping at her stall before you commit to presents. Foraged flowers are also a reliable early way to please residents, and the relationship screen keeps a record of the last eight gifts you gave each character, showing whether they liked, loved, or disliked each one. Matching a flower’s color to a resident’s taste is the simplest way to raise friendship quickly.

Elvira’s stall: Food, furnishings, and blueprints

Elvira’s stall is the shopping hub of the festival. Her food restores a quick top-up, while the furnishings and blueprints are largely seasonal décor you can only grab during the event.

Mina’s buffet and Luna’s flower arranging

Mina sets out a buffet for the town, and you can bring one of your own dishes to place on a table. If you have been cooking, this is a natural place to contribute a recipe you have made.

Luna runs a flower-arranging stall stocked with blooms available only during this event and season. Those flowers make good presents for the gift exchange, so pairing a visit to Luna with your admirer picks is an efficient use of the first night.

Get ready before Spring 20

Building friendship with residents is the main way to make the festival pay off, and socializing feeds back into the rest of the game too. Chatting and gifting unlocks special crafting blueprints and materials you cannot obtain any other way, so the nights you spend on relationships loop directly into your farm and décor.

Come with coins if you want the seasonal furnishings, since the higher-end décor at Elvira’s stall runs into the thousands. Steady early income comes from processing goods rather than selling raw harvests, and from selling batches of fish and shells to Chester, your farm’s shipping chest. Keep a small stock of cooked food or grape juice on hand as well, so a busy festival night does not leave you short on energy.

Note: The festival returns on the same calendar dates each spring, so if you miss a stall item or a resident you wanted to admire, you will get another chance the following year.
