Everything you need to bring down the Chapter 10 bear Nushi, from its two health bars to the weaknesses that speed up the fight.

Ursa is the Nushi that caps Chapter 10 of Beast of Reincarnation, a hulking bear that guards the center of its lair and roars the moment Emma steps inside. By this point you have already tangled with plenty of Grizzly Malefacts, so the moveset will feel familiar, but Ursa hits harder and comes with a second form. There is no shortcut here, and the run-up alone throws three tough Grizzly Malefacts at you before the real fight begins.

Quick answer: Fight Ursa with a melee build, parry its multi-swipe combo, dodge the thrown boulders, and apply corrosives or Restrain to weaken it. Drain the first health bar to trigger its flower transformation, then repeat the punish-after-attack rhythm through the second phase until the Lethal prompt appears.

Ursa Nushi fight essentials

Before you engage, know what you are walking into. Ursa is a two-phase Nushi, which means its health fully restores when it transforms. Do not relax when the first bar empties. The bear cannot be stealth killed, so you have to win this the hard way.

Phase one attacks and how to counter them

As a late-game Nushi, Ursa carries a wide moveset. Each attack has a clear tell, so watch its body before you commit to a swing. Melee weapons work best because you can parry the flurry and stay in punish range, though a bow or crossbow still helps chip at it from a distance.

AttackCounter
Leaping lunge that spawns rocky pillars on impactDodge sideways as it leaves the ground
Rock throws at EmmaDodge, or break the boulders before they land

AoE vines that bloom into blue flowers in all directionsCreate distance while it winds up
Multi-swipe combo ending in a slamParry the swipes, then punish the recovery

Restrain the bear or coat it in corrosives whenever you get an opening to weaken it faster. The multi-swipe combo is the easiest window to parry, and each successful parry feeds points into Koo’s techniques, so lean on it.

The transformation and phase two

When the first health bar hits zero, Ursa collapses, glows with golden particles, and sheds its outer shell to reveal a massive blooming flower with vine-like tentacles. This kicks off phase two with a fresh full health bar.

Every attack from the first phase carries over, only stronger and with more damage. On top of that, any time Ursa strikes the ground it grows a large vine tipped with a blue flower. The arena gets busier, so movement matters more than ever.

The winning rhythm stays the same. Wait for Ursa to finish an attack, close in and get your hits during the recovery, then back off the instant it starts prepping the next move. Keep restraining and applying corrosives when you can, and keep depleting the bar with this dip-in, dip-out pattern.

Loadout and weaknesses to exploit

Build around melee for this fight, since parrying the swipe combo is your most reliable source of damage and Flow Points. Ranged weapons are a fine backup, but keep an eye on your ammo so you are not caught reloading mid-combo.

  • Bring Restrain effects to lock Ursa in place and open safe damage windows.
  • Spread corrosives to chip its health while it recovers.
  • Acid options, such as Acid Arrows or a Bottle of Acid for Koo, help soften it and stack pressure.
  • Save Koo’s Nushi Skills for staggered or restrained moments to burst it down.

Note: if Emma goes down, Resurrection can bring her straight back into the fight, so don’t panic if you drop once during a long phase.

How you know Ursa is beaten

Once the second health bar is nearly empty, a Lethal prompt appears as Emma sets up the finishing strike. She leaps onto the flower and drives her sword into its core, ending the fight with an Ursa’s End cutscene. The creature stops attacking and hardens into a peaceful, glowing flora structure, the dark fog lifts from the forest, and clear blue sky breaks through the canopy. When that plays out, Chapter 10’s Nushi is done and Ursa’s power is yours.
