In Steal a Pet and Ride It, talismans are stat-boosting rings sold for Gems at the Talisman Shop. You can wear three at once, and the first one you can realistically afford is the Training talisman, which makes your treadmill runs faster. Reaching it takes some early progression. You need to unlock new biomes, steal a few cages, and let your Gem balance build up.
Quick answer: Collect at least 200 Gems, mostly from biome unlocks. Then step into the cyan Talisman Shop circle, open the Treadmill tab, and buy Training (+25% Treadmill Speed).
Talisman Shop: Categories and equip slots
The Talisman Shop is a glowing cyan circle on the ground near your plot. Stepping into it opens the shop menu. A counter at the top reads Equipped 0/3, which means you can run up to three talismans at the same time.
Talismans are split into six tabs, one for each stat they affect:
- Treadmill
- Cash
- Gems
- Hatch
- Luck
- Speed
The Treadmill tab describes its rings as a way to gain speed faster on the treadmill. Because treadmill speed is what unlocks new biomes early on, this tab is where most players start.

Add to Google Preferences →Treadmill talisman tiers and prices
Each Treadmill talisman has a Gem price and a Robux price. Cash from your plot cannot buy them.
| Talisman | Rarity | Effect | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Training | Uncommon | +25% Treadmill Speed | 200 Gems or 8 Robux |
| Great Training | Epic | +50% Treadmill Speed | 1K Gems or 19 Robux |
| Mythic Training | Mythic | +100% Treadmill Speed | 2K Gems or 39 Robux |
Training is the entry point. Great Training doubles its bonus for five times the Gems, and Mythic Training doubles it again for twice that. If you are not spending Robux, plan on Training first and save toward the higher tiers.
How to earn Gems for your first talisman
Biome unlocks are the steady Gem payouts in the early game. Unlocking Honey Meadow awards 50 Diamonds, and unlocking Jungle Ruins awards 100. Both appear on screen as Diamonds and count toward the Gem balance the shop uses. Following the sequence below gets you past the 200-Gem mark.

Every cage you open also fills the “Open Cages for a Lucky Cage!” bar along the top of the screen. Common, Rare and Epic cages all count toward it.

Jungle Ruins sits past Honey Meadow, and its cages include a Legendary Cage. Once you have unlocked it, the run there is just a longer version of the same steal-and-escape loop.

How to buy the Training talisman
Once your balance is high enough, the game tells you directly. A banner reading “You can buy your first talisman!” appears, and it showed up with 220 Gems in the bank.

The Equipped counter at the top of the shop tracks how many of your three talisman slots are filled, so you can check it there. Your per-step gains on the treadmill are the other place to confirm the bonus.
Treadmill talismans, trails and upgrades together
A Treadmill talisman is one of three separate ways to raise treadmill speed. Trails from the Trail Shop and cash upgrades to the treadmill itself are the other two, and both cost cash instead of Gems. That means you can build all three at the same time without competing for the same currency.
Trail Shop multipliers
| Trail | Rarity | Treadmill multiplier | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grey Trail | Common | x1.5 | Default |
| Green Trail | Uncommon | x2 | $5K or 19 Robux |
| Blue Trail | Rare | x2.5 | $50K or 39 Robux |
| Purple Trail | Epic | x3 | $500K |
The Trail Shop sits in the yellow circle. When you have enough cash for the next trail, a “You can afford a new trail!” banner names it. An equipped trail shows a red UNEQUIP button in the menu.

Treadmill upgrade costs
| Upgrade | Cost |
|---|---|
| Level 1 to Level 2 | $5K |
| Level 2 to Level 3 | $75K |
| Level 3 to Level 4 | $300K |
Per-step gains climb with each piece. On the Level 2 treadmill with the Green Trail, steps pay +20. On Level 3 they pay +34, and the Blue Trail raises that to +42.5. The 2x SPEED! boost doubles whatever you are earning at the moment, so +34 becomes +68.

Cash for trails and upgrades
Your pets’ earnings pile up on the green pad marked “Stand here to collect.” Stand on it to bank the cash, then spend it on trails, treadmill levels or plot upgrades. Upgrading the plot costs $10K for Level 1 to Level 2 and $100K for Level 2 to Level 3.

A sensible order is to buy the Green Trail for $5K as soon as you can, use biome-unlock Gems on Training, then save cash toward the Blue Trail and the Level 3 treadmill. After that, Great Training at 1K Gems is the next talisman to aim for.
