Fortnite Ironmouse Sprite: How to Get the Mythic and What It Does

The Ironmouse Sprite is a Mythic collab companion in Fortnite Runners, and it is live in matches again after a rocky start. It first appeared with the v41.30 update on July 30, 2026, then got pulled hours later when it went out earlier than Epic intended. It returned on August 4 to line up with Ironmouse’s ninth streaming anniversary, and it now rolls from chests across the map.

Quick answer: Open Relic Chests to find the Ironmouse Sprite at a 2.14% drop rate, then extract it (at an Extraction Site, with a Portable Extractor, or by winning the match) so it lands in your Sprite locker permanently.

What the Ironmouse Sprite does

This is not a healing item you activate on demand. The Ironmouse Sprite is reactive, so its effects kick in only after you take damage and your health drops low. Once triggered, it regenerates your health over time and layers on two extra buffs while that regen is running.

The full effect reads: “Regenerate health over time when low. While regenerating, gain Cloak and low gravity!” That means you slowly heal, turn invisible, and float higher and farther all at once. The combination makes it a strong repositioning tool, letting you break an enemy’s line of sight and drift to safety while your HP climbs back.

The amount of health it restores scales with the Sprite’s level. You raise that level by opening chests, eliminating players, and extracting it with Sprite Dust.

LevelTotal health restored
Level 160 HP
Level 270 HP
Level 380 HP
Level 490 HP
Level 5 (max)100 HP

At max level, the trigger refills a full 100 HP, effectively topping off your entire health bar while you are cloaked and floating away.

Where to find the Ironmouse Sprite and its drop rate

The Ironmouse Sprite drops from Relic Chests scattered around the map. It carries Mythic rarity, so it will not appear every match. The published drop rate sits at 2.14%, which is rare but noticeably more forgiving than the hardest Mythics like Grim or Zero Point.

Epic set boosted drop rates for the launch window. Those higher odds run until August 5 at 3 AM ET, so logging in during that stretch gives you the best chance to pull it before rates settle back to normal.

How to improve your odds

Because the pull is RNG-based, stacking drop-rate boosts and opening more chests is the practical way to speed things up. A few methods raise your chances or skip the luck entirely.

MethodWhat it does
Prioritize Relic ChestsThese are the primary loot pool for Mythic Sprites, so open them over standard or Rare chests.
Equip a Holofoil SpriteAny equipped Holofoil variant raises your chance of finding rare Sprites in containers by 5%.
Clear Renegade VaultsVaults hand out high-tier loot in bulk, giving you more rolls at the Mythic.
Use a Lucky LocatorTracks buried chests and filters out duplicates, so you only pull Sprites you do not already own.
Equip Peeky PeelyTracks enemies carrying the Ironmouse Sprite. Eliminate them to take it.
Trade with playersThe RNG-free route. Swap a duplicate with a friend who already has Ironmouse.

Extract it or you lose it

Finding the Sprite is only half the job. To keep it, you have to extract it out of the match. You can do that at an Extraction Site, with a Portable Extractor, or by winning the round outright. An Ironmouse Sprite you found but never extracted does not get added to your collection.

Once it is in your locker, you can resummon it into future matches for 6,750 Sprite Dust. The Mastery Monday event, which runs weekly, doubles Sprite Dust earnings, so that is a good time to bank the currency you need to bring Ironmouse back repeatedly.

Note: If you unlocked Ironmouse during its brief July 30 early release, it stayed safe in your Sprite locker through the vaulting and is fully usable now that it is back.

How to confirm you own it

You know the pull worked when the Ironmouse Sprite shows up in your Sprite collection after a successful extraction. In the menu, it lists as Mythic with the ability line “Regenerate health over time when low. While regenerating, gain Cloak and low gravity!” and a single Normal finish. If it is not there, the most likely reason is that you found it but left the match without extracting, which does not count toward your locker.

As a single-variant Mythic, one clean pull completes the whole family, the same simple math as Pollo and Vini Jr. Collab Sprites tend to be tied to event windows, so securing Ironmouse now while it is live and boosted is safer than assuming it stays in the pool for the rest of the season, which is scheduled to end on August 19, 2026.
