Recreating the Zenin family in Kaizen comes down to four things per character. You need the right face and hair sliders, the matching cursed technique or binding vow, the raid that drops the cosmetics and materials, and the signature weapon. Maki, Naoya, Megumi, and Toji each pull from a different corner of the game, so the work adds up, but the requirements are fixed and easy to follow.
Quick answer: Copy each character’s customization sliders, roll the Zenin Clan (or equip the Physical Heavenly Restriction vow for Toji), equip the matching technique, then run their raid to farm cosmetics and crafting materials for the Split Soul Katana or Inverted Spear of Heaven.

Character customization settings for all four Zenin builds
All values are entered on the character customization screen before you drop into the world. Note that Naoya and Toji share the exact same slider set, since both use the same face and body model.
| Setting | Maki | Naoya | Megumi | Toji |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Face | 2 | 6 | 3 | 6 |
| Mouth | 10 | 7 | 2 | 7 |
| Hair (1) | 12 | 32 | 4 | 32 |
| Hair (2) | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Shirt | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Pants | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Shoes | 5 | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| Skin Tone | 7 | 1 | 4 | 1 |
| Height | 1 | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| Depth | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| Width | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
Maki, Naoya, and Toji all use the Zenin Clan, which you roll for in the customization menu’s clan spin. Megumi’s build does not depend on the clan itself, since his identity comes from the Ten Shadows technique. You can start rolling and building on the official KAIZEN Roblox page.

Add to Google Preferences →Maki Zenin and the Split Soul Katana
Maki’s kit is built around the Split Soul Katana, a Grade S melee weapon that cuts the soul directly and ignores physical toughness. You craft it by talking to the Maki NPC at the Shibuya Outskirts, near a blue tent, once you have the materials.
| Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|
| Cost | ¥500,000 |
| Soul Cleaving Steel | 25 |
| Cursed Ember | 85 |
| Grade | S |
Both materials, plus Maki’s cosmetics, come from the Zenin Massacre Raid. It has a level 180+ requirement and can be run on Easy to farm efficiently. Cursed Ember drops at a guaranteed rate, while the cosmetics and Soul Cleaving Steel are rarer.

| Zenin Massacre Raid drop | Rate |
|---|---|
| Yen | ¥56k–84k |
| Cursed Ember | 100% |
| Cursed Bandages | 10% |
| Maki’s Bandages | 10% |
| Kitsune Mask | 10% |
| Soul Cleaving Steel | 10% |
| Maki’s Cloak | 3.5% |
The raid runs through waves of Zenin Sorcerers and Fallen Zenin Sorcerers before the Maki boss fight. Once the katana is crafted, its moveset unlocks by mastery level.
| Key | Move | Mastery Lv. |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Spirit Dissection | 1 |
| X | Soul Vortex | 10 |
| C | Severing Draw | 35 |
Note: You cannot swap accessories like Maki’s Cloak or the Kitsune Mask while in combat. Equip them from the inventory’s Accessories tab in a safe area, or the game returns an error.
Naoya Zenin and Projection Sorcery
Naoya’s build leans entirely on the Projection Sorcery cursed technique, which rewards precise, high-speed play. Its full moveset spans five keys, ending in a Domain Expansion at a very high mastery level.
| Key | Move | Mastery Lv. |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Frame Grasp | 1 |
| X | Frame Breaker | 15 |
| C | Heaven Splitter | 45 |
| V | Speed Rend | 100 |
| R | Time Cell Moon Palace | 275 |
Naoya’s cosmetics come from the Zenin Estate Ruins Raid, which has a lower level 90+ requirement and can be run on Easy. The clan cosmetics here are shared with Jinichi Zenin, and every drop except the guaranteed Cursed Frame sits at a 1% rate.
| Zenin Estate Ruins Raid drop | Rate |
|---|---|
| Yen | ¥28k–42k |
| Cursed Frame | 100% |
| Naoya Top | 1% |
| Naoya Bottom | 1% |
| Jinichi Top | 1% |
| Jinichi Bottom | 1% |
The raid fights through Zenin Clan Soldiers and Jinichi Zenin before reaching Naoya himself as the final boss.

Megumi Fushiguro, Ten Shadows, and taming Mahoraga
Megumi’s build uses the Ten Shadows cursed technique, which you buy from the Curse Shop and equip. Its shikigami unlock across five keys, with Mahoraga sitting at the top.
| Key | Shikigami | Mastery Lv. |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Great Serpent | 1 |
| X | Divine Dogs | 15 |
| C | Max Elephant | 45 |
| V | Nue | 100 |
| R | Mahoraga | 350 |
The centerpiece of this build is summoning and taming Mahoraga, and that runs through the Megumi Raid. It has a level 125+ requirement and is run on Normal to farm Chest Fragments, the key item for the ritual.
| Megumi Raid drop | Rate |
|---|---|
| Yen | ¥39.2k–58.8k |
| Shikigami Souls | 100% |
| Chest Fragment | 10% |
| Megumi Top | 1% |
| Megumi Bottom | 1% |

You know the taming worked when Mahoraga appears as an ally on summon and stays at your side during combat rather than acting as a hostile boss.
Toji Fushiguro, Heavenly Restriction, and the Inverted Spear of Heaven
Toji is the pure physical build. Instead of a cursed technique, you equip the Physical Heavenly Restriction binding vow, which strips all cursed energy in exchange for large melee and weapon stat boosts. Once equipped, you cannot use any cursed techniques at all.
| Physical Heavenly Restriction effect | Value |
|---|---|
| Melee Damage | +10% |
| Weapon Damage | +9% |
| HP | +6.5% |
| Stamina | +6% |
| Cursed Energy | Removed entirely |
Toji’s melee moveset runs on the vow rather than a katana skill tree, and can be showcased alongside the Split Soul Katana.

| Key | Move | Mastery Lv. |
|---|---|---|
| Z | Dash Fury | 1 |
| X | Rock Flurry | 15 |
| C | Chained Severance | 45 |
| V | Split Soul Annihilation | 100 |
| R | Curse Ambush | 150 |
His signature weapon, the Inverted Spear of Heaven, is crafted at the Blacksmith. It is the most expensive of the two Zenin weapons and needs materials from the Hidden Inventory Raid.
| Inverted Spear of Heaven requirement | Amount |
|---|---|
| Cost | ¥3,000,000 |
| Red/Gold Relic | 25 |
| Inverted Spear Piece | 25 |
The Hidden Inventory Raid carries a level 220+ requirement, the highest of the four, and is run on Normal to fight Toji. Beating him drops the crafting materials, though the spear pieces are extremely rare.
| Hidden Inventory Raid drop | Rate |
|---|---|
| Yen | ¥56k–84k |
| Heavenly Core | 100% |
| Inverted Spear materials | 1.2% / 0.9% |
| Toji Top | 1% |
| Toji Bottom | 1% |
Once crafted, the Inverted Spear of Heaven uses a compact three-key set.
| Key | Move | Mastery Lv. |
|---|---|---|
| Z | X Slash | 1 |
| X | SpeedBlitz | 15 |
| C | Domain Breaker | 35 |

Build order and what to farm first
Because each raid gates behind a different level, the practical route follows those requirements from lowest to highest. Naoya’s content opens earliest, while Toji’s spear is the endgame chase.
| Build | Raid | Level | Key reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Naoya | Zenin Estate Ruins | 90+ | Naoya cosmetics |
| Megumi | Megumi Raid | 125+ | Chest Fragments / Mahoraga |
| Maki | Zenin Massacre | 180+ | Split Soul Katana materials |
| Toji | Hidden Inventory | 220+ | Inverted Spear of Heaven materials |
The Zenin Clan itself is a Legendary roll, so expect to reroll clan spins before you land it for the Maki, Naoya, and Toji looks. Megumi is the exception, since the Ten Shadows technique carries that build regardless of your clan. Farm the raid that matches your current level, bank the guaranteed materials like Cursed Ember, Cursed Frame, Shikigami Souls, and Heavenly Cores, and the rest of each Zenin build falls into place as you climb.
