Most activities in AION 2 run on a predictable clock rather than at random, so once you know the cadence you can plan a session around the events you care about. Some repeat every hour, some open every three hours, and a handful fire only on specific weekdays.

Quick answer: Hourly events run at fixed minutes on your server clock (Shugo Festival at :00, Dimensional Invasion at :30), Spacetime Rifts open every three hours, and daily and weekly resets land at 16:00 server time (07:00 UTC), with the weekly reset on Wednesday.

On the Global regions (North America, Europe, South America, and Japan) every schedule is anchored to one server clock running on GMT+9. The game shows a countdown next to your map, and times convert to your own time zone automatically, but the underlying schedule below is in server time.

Hourly events: Shugo Festival, Dimensional Invasion, Black Cloud Merchant

Three activities repeat throughout the day. The Shugo Festival and Dimensional Invasion both open a short entry window, so you need to be ready when the countdown appears beside your map.

EventWhenEntry window
Shugo FestivalEvery hour at :003-minute countdown
Dimensional InvasionEvery hour at :303-minute countdown
Black Cloud MerchantEvery hourWares reroll

The Shugo Festival rotates through nine minigames, and the ones open in any given hour show up in the in-game Shugo Festival menu. To enter, click the timer beside your map during the 3-minute window and pick an activity. You gain three Shugo Festival keys per day for opening its reward chests, refilled at the daily reset.

Dimensional Invasion works the same way, with its entry window opening every hour at the half-hour mark. Its reward keys also refill daily. The Black Cloud Merchant simply refreshes its stock every hour, rerolling the randomized discounts on pets, skins, and growth items.

Spacetime Rift opening times

Spacetime Rifts let you cross into the opposing faction’s map, and on the Global servers they open eight times a day, once every three hours.

Server-time openings: 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, and 21:00.

Each portal stays open for only 10 minutes, so if you miss it you wait for the next window three hours later. Once you cross, you can remain on the opposite faction’s map for one hour before being sent back.

Daily and weekly resets

Both resets happen at the same hour: 16:00 server time, which is 07:00 UTC. The daily reset runs every day, and the weekly reset falls on Wednesday at that same hour. Most weekly entries refill to their cap rather than stacking beyond it, so spend any remaining attempts before Wednesday.

Weekly caps (reset Wednesday)

ContentLimit or reset
Sanctuary RaidReward attempts refresh weekly
Ascension Trial3 entries per week
Expedition: Exploration7 reward counts per dungeon
Daily Dungeon14 entries per week
AbyssWeekly Abyss time refreshes
Conquest and TranscendenceUnclaimed Cube limits reset

Daily refills (reset every 16:00 server / 07:00 UTC)

ContentLimit or refill
Duty Missions5 reward completions per day
Nightmare2 attempts added daily, can accumulate
Transcendence2 reward counts added daily, can accumulate
Dimensional InvasionReward keys refill daily
AttendanceCheck-in rewards refresh at daily reset

Nightmare and Transcendence attempts stack up to a cap, so you can skip a day without losing them, while Duty Missions and the Attendance check-in should be cleared before the next reset.

Fixed weekday events: Artifact Siege and Arena of Tactics

Unlike the hourly activities, these run only on set days and times. The Artifact Siege is the large PvP fight in Chaotic Lower Reshanta, and players can start contesting ground around the Abyss Artifact before the siege countdown itself begins, so arriving early matters.

  • Artifact Siege: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at 21:00 server time (12:00 UTC)
  • Arena of Tactics (10v10): daily, 11:00–14:00 and 19:00–21:00 server time

Field boss spawn schedule

Reshanta’s field bosses appear on set weekdays at fixed times. The Lv. 65 bosses sit in Chaotic Lower Reshanta and the Lv. 80 bosses in Chaotic Middle Reshanta. Each one is a Hero-rank Cogni that guarantees a Refining Stone, Expert’s Refining Stone, and Artisan’s Refining Stone on defeat.

Guardian Lord Nahma and its Enraged counterpart each have a 25% chance to drop the Colossus and Artwork cosmetics tied to the boss. The Executor, Executioner, Ravager, and Turncoat bosses instead roll a 25% Unique Artwork, and Executor Kaira adds a 43.4% chance at Balaur’s Essence.

Watcher Kaira is the exception to the weekday pattern. It respawns on an interval instead, appearing every three hours from 01:00 server time, so check the in-game map for when it is active.

You can confirm any of these timers in the game itself: the countdown beside your map shows the next occurrence converted to your local time, and the siege and field boss markers on the world map indicate when each one is live. If your in-game clock does not line up with the times above, double-check that you are reading server time rather than your own time zone.
