Ferocious Horn Den is a party dungeon set in a stronghold of the Ferocious Horn Mau tribe, hidden deep in the Abyss. It sends you through four hero-rank bosses, three of which drop the Epic Black Claw gear set alongside refining materials and the Amplify Stone Fragment. The whole run is built around that gear, and the final boss hands out the best chances at it.
Quick answer: This is a 1–5 player dungeon with a 60-minute limit and two difficulties. Watchdog Kwapo, Necromancer Duanka and Ferocious Horn Nuakum drop the Black Claw set, and Nuakum gives the highest rates.
How to enter Ferocious Horn Den
The format is fixed and worth checking before you queue. The gear it awards is Epic, item level 45, and carries a required level of 45, so bring a character who can equip it.
- Type: party dungeon
- Party size: 1–5 players
- Time limit: 60 minutes
- Difficulties: Exploration and Conquest
- Obtainable items: 76 in total
Every boss sits at level 63 and every creature inside scales across the 63–74 range, so a group geared for that bracket clears comfortably within the hour.

The Black Claw set is the reason to farm here. Each piece is Epic, tier-2, item level 45, with three manastone slots and a maximum enchant of +10. The armour runs the full slate of slots, plus a Ring and Earrings, and the Fera Necklace completes the accessory line from the two mid-bosses. Weapons in the set cover every type, from the Greatsword to the Staff and Guard.
Defensively the gear sits in the upper-middle of its tier. The Black Claw Boots carry 220 Defense, the 11th-highest value among the 147 pairs of shoes in the game; the top figure is 504, shared by the Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord boots. The Greaves lead the set at 275 Defense and 135 HP, the heaviest single piece.
Outside gear, the run supplies refining stacks and the Amplify Stone Fragment, a Unique bound material that drops from all three combat bosses at 20%. Ferocious Horn Nuakum adds the Balaur crafting line (Scale, Leather, Horn and Balaur’s Essence) at 30% each, plus a slim shot at Wrathful Ego.
Ferocious Horn Den bosses and drop rates
You meet the four bosses in a set order: Watchdog Kwapo first, then Shining Mau Totem, Necromancer Duanka, and finally Ferocious Horn Nuakum in the Howling Throne.
Watchdog Kwapo
Watchdog Kwapo is the first hero-rank boss, waiting at the end of the Fera Surveillance Site after a bomb-barricade section. Around 75% and 25% health it becomes untargetable, leaps across the arena and scatters blue orbs, then detonates them with an expanding ring. Clear the orbs on one side so you have somewhere safe to stand, then jump the ring as it widens.

Once it falls, loot drops on the spot. Its reward pool is weighted toward refining stones and the lighter Black Claw accessories.

Kwapo also drops Kina and bound Kina on every kill. The rest of its loot rolls at these chances:
| Item | Grade | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Special | 60% | |
| Common | 53.7% | |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Bound) | Unique | 20% |
| Epic | 11.4% | |

Shining Mau Totem
Shining Mau Totem is a hero-rank gate fight in the Requiem Altar rather than a gear source. Make sure the whole party is inside before anyone triggers it, because the interaction locks the doors and summons waves of adds. Clear the adds or throw the bombs stashed on the stairs to strip the totem’s barrier, then destroy it to open the Altar Door.

With the totem exposed, focus it down to progress. It carries no listed gear drops, so treat it purely as the door to Necromancer Duanka.

Necromancer Duanka
Necromancer Duanka holds Mau’s Resting Place and shares its entire loot pool and rates with Watchdog Kwapo, down to the 60% Soul Codex, the 20% Amplify Stone Fragment and the identical Black Claw and Balaur odds. At 75%, 50% and 15% health it spawns four tethered adds that cannot be hurt normally.

Send one player to grab the white orb on the north side of the room. That buff lets the group damage the adds and speeds them up, so the four die before Duanka absorbs them for a heal and a stack buff.

At 65% and 30% it drags everyone to the centre and casts Soul Caller, dealing more damage the closer you are. Run out of the wide circle before the cast resolves and the kill is routine.

Ferocious Horn Nuakum
Ferocious Horn Nuakum is the final boss, reached through a portal into the Howling Throne, and it offers the best Black Claw rates of the run. Almost every hit it lands adds a bleed stack; at three stacks the bleed ruptures and leaves a damaging pool, so drop those pools at the edge of the arena. A Conquest enrage lands at roughly five minutes.

Around 75% and 55% it leaps away, roots a player and sends a clone dashing at them: an unmarked player blocks the dash, then the group stacks on a small circle or spreads from a large one. Near 30% it summons a central orb and the marked player must line it up between themselves and Nuakum so three of his four throws strike the orb instead of the room.
Nuakum guarantees Silentium, Kina, Enhance Stone and bound Kina on every kill. Its weighted drops are below.
| Item | Grade | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Epic | 30% | |
| Epic | 30% | |
| Epic | 30% | |
| Epic | 30% | |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Bound) | Unique | 20% |
| Epic | 12.2% | |

| Epic | 6.1% | |
| Epic | 4.6% | |
| Wrathful Ego | Unique | 3.6% |
| Epic | 3.1% |
Nuakum is the only boss here that drops the Black Claw weapons, and it carries the Fera Necklace off its list, so that necklace comes only from the two mid-bosses.
Confirming the clear and the cube reward
Defeating Nuakum completes the run and triggers an Odyle Energy Cube in the Howling Throne. Opening it is your confirmation the dungeon is done, and it pays out guaranteed Kina, Silentium, a Soul Codex and Enhance Stone, with a 20% roll on the Amplify Stone Fragment on top of whatever the bosses dropped. If the cube appears and awards its contents, the clear has registered correctly.
