Raydam is a Common cooking ingredient in AION 2, sitting in the Misc category and tied to the Asmodian side. It exists mainly to feed the cooking profession, turning into food and drink buffs rather than being used on its own.
Quick answer: Gather Raydam from Fruit nodes in Altgard with gathering mastery level 1, or convert it from Odyle through Substance Morph, then use it in cooking recipes such as Raydam Juice.
Raydam stats and item details
Raydam carries a required level of 15 and a tier 1 grade. It sells to vendors for a small amount and comes in two forms, a tradable version and a bound version that stays locked to your account.
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Common |
| Type | Misc (cooking ingredient) |
| Required level | 15 |
| Faction | Asmodians |
| Sell price | 5 Kina |
The standard Raydam can be traded freely. The Raydam (Bound) version shares the same stats and description but cannot be traded through either public or personal trade.

Raydam comes from Fruit gathering nodes. You need gathering mastery level 1 to harvest it, and the nodes appear at Novice grade. Each successful gather yields one Raydam, and you can also pull a Poko’s Skin Bundle (Bound) as a bonus material from the same nodes.
Altgard holds the densest cluster of these nodes, with spawns across the Dredgion Crash Site, Tranein Highland, and the Eastern and Southern Gribade Highland. You will also find Raydam nodes in Verteron, and over in Morheim around the Muspel Volcano Zone and Patamor Plains.
Essence Extraction specialty skills make farming faster. Cooking Ingredient Seeker marks nodes on your minimap, Plentiful Harvest can double a gather, and Cooking Ingredient Appraiser can raise the grade of what you collect.
Substance Morph and quest rewards
If you are short on nodes, you can produce Raydam through Substance Morph by converting Odyle of the same grade. On top of that, Raydam shows up as a reward from a range of quests, so questing through Asmodian content will add some to your stock without any farming.
Cooking recipes that use Raydam
Every use for Raydam runs through cooking. It turns into regen drinks at low mastery and feeds higher-level dishes later on.
| Recipe | Cooking mastery | Raydam needed |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 (with Sugar x1) | |
| Rare variant | Varies | |
| 60 | 3 | |
| — | Varies |
Raydam Juice is the entry-level recipe, unlocking at Cooking mastery 1. It needs one Raydam and one Sugar (Bound), with a base success rate of 72.9% and a 30% combo chance. The finished drink raises Natural MP Regen and Natural Stamina Regen for 300 seconds.
Artisan’s Raydam Juice is the Rare-grade upgrade, usable from level 10. It applies the same MP and Stamina regen boost but runs for a full five minutes on a one-second cooldown, making it the version worth keeping stacked for longer play sessions.
At the top end, Dark Dragon’s Chopped Steak calls for Cooking level 60 and three Raydam per batch, and Dark Dragon’s Fruit Juice also lists Raydam among its ingredients. Those recipes sit far above the ingredient’s own level 15 requirement, so hold onto spare Raydam if you plan to push cooking later.
