AION 2 keeps eight general NPC merchants on the main faction bases, and between them they cover every crafting line plus the everyday potions, scrolls and transform items you buy with Kina. Each merchant maps to one task, so once you know which stall handles which job you can refill mid-craft without hunting around.

Quick answer: There are eight NPC merchants — Blacksmith, Armorsmith, Handicrafting, Alchemy, Cooking, General Goods, Command and Morph. The five crafting merchants and General Goods stand on Verteron and Altgard bases; Command and Morph sit alongside them.

Where the merchants stand

The crafting merchants, along with General Goods, appear at your faction’s hubs so you rarely have to detour to restock. The Elyos find them in Verteron at the Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village; the Asmodians find them in Altgard at Safe Haven and the Nornir Assembly. Both factions also get the full merchant set aboard the Verteron Legion Airship and Altgard Legion Airship.

A General Goods merchant also stands in the starter zones of Poeta and Ishalgen, and both General Goods and Command merchants appear in the Reshanta Abyss layers, so you can resupply without leaving the field.

If you hold the Special Quai Membership, the Wind Breeze Merchant lets you buy the same crafting components remotely from the in-game Shop, so you never have to walk back to a physical stall.

The five crafting merchants

Blacksmith

The Blacksmith supplies melee weapon crafting and ore work. You buy Orichalcum Solvent here to turn raw Orichalcum into ingots, and the Zircon, Lazuli and Moonstone Hammers (all Common) to process Balaur’s Essence into Balaur Horns.

Handicrafting

The Handicraft merchant backs bows, staves and accessories. It stocks Abrasive to turn gems into decorations, Sandpaper to refine Asvata Logs, Catalysts for Magic Crystals, and the three Dragon Scale Hardeners that make Thick Balaur Scales.

Alchemy

The Alchemy merchant overlaps with Handicrafting, carrying Catalysts and the Dragon Scale Hardeners, and adds its own line. Glass Bottles and Professional Glass Bottles support potions, while Professional Ink and Exceptional Ink feed spellbooks, orbs and manastones.

Cooking

The Cooking merchant sells the pantry staples your recipes call for: Salt, Ulmus Oil, Soy Sauce, Altgard Pepper, Curry Powder, Abex Butter, Raw Triora Noodles and Cheese. You combine these with raw materials to reach higher-rarity dishes.

Common component prices sit low enough to buy in bulk. Abrasive, Sandpaper, Catalyst and Orichalcum Solvent each run 400 Kina. The Dragon Scale Hardeners step up by tier: Lesser costs 4,650 Kina, Intermediate 5,600 Kina and Superior 6,550 Kina.

General Goods merchant

This is your convenience stop. It stocks recovery and buff items along with travel and respawn tools, and it is also where you sell Silentiums and other junk for bound Kina.

  • Potions: Life Potion, Life Serum, Healing Potion
  • Scroll buffs: Courage Scroll, Speed Scroll, Benediction Scroll
  • Travel: Return Scroll, Hall Return Scroll
  • Kisk Summoning Stones: Personal, Party, Force, Legion
  • Power Shard

Command merchant

The Command merchant sells command scrolls, each of which hands you a short quest with a list of five possible rewards. You can re-roll the quest and its reward table until you land on something worth keeping. Command: Verteron is the Elyos scroll and Command: Altgard is the Asmodian one.

Each town scroll costs 15,000 Kina, and you can buy up to 12 per account each week in Verteron and Altgard. In the Abyss you may buy 5 of each Command Scroll rarity.

Morph merchant

The Morph merchant sells the monster essences and Morph Methods used to make transform candies in the Substance Morph menu. On offer are Kobold’s, Dratona’s, Aullaeu’s, Mumu’s and Mau’s Essence, plus the Dratona, Aullaeu, Mumu and Festival Mau Transformation Candy methods.
