The Abyss Drana Mutant is a Normal-rank creature found in the open world, ranging from level 45 to 53, and it attacks on sight. Every one of its 135 marked spots in Middle Reshanta, in the Abyss, sits in the Contaminated Marsh, so that is the only place to look. With the whole population packed into a single area, you rarely have to move far between pulls, and its aggression means you should arrive ready to fight.

Each kill guarantees Soul: Faded Mutant (Bound), with a 4.7% chance of a Spiritstone, 3.1% for a Refining Stone and 1.8% for a Silver Fragment of Merit (Bound). Rarer drops include Expert's Refining Stone at 1.0% and Artisan's Refining Stone at 0.58%. Five repeatable Duty quests ask for 20 kills each, among them Stop Contaminated Marsh Mutation and Contaminated Marsh Western Island Extermination, and each pays Abyss Points x2,000, so the Mutants can count towards several of them on a single trip.
