The Balaur Watchstone is a Normal-rank creature found in the open world of AION 2, sitting at level 3–4 and leaving you alone unless you attack it first. On the Elyos side, all 12 of its marked spots in Poeta are at Clione Lake, so that is the only area worth heading to. With every spawn gathered in one place and such a low level, it is an easy target for new characters, and you can work through the group without being pulled into fights you did not start.

The nearest teleport statue is at Dawn Legion Forward Base, roughly 360 m from Clione Lake, so the walk over is short. The usual reason to make the trip is the Episode quest Withered Tree Daminu, which asks you to defeat 3 Balaur Watchstones. Finishing it rewards 3,915 XP, Kina (Bound) x1,500 and Courage Scroll (Bound) x20, which is a generous return for a handful of quick, uncontested kills near the start of the game.
