Damp Octaside is a level 33 Normal creature in the open world of AION 2. It does not attack on sight, so you can approach it without being dragged into a fight. On the Elyos side it lives in Verteron, and all 47 of its marked spots are in Altamia Canyon. With every spawn in one area, the canyon is the only place you need to go.

Teleport to the Canyon Campsite statue, which is about 140 m from the hunting area. Two Duty quests send you here. Safe Hiking asks for 20 kills and pays Abyss Points x1,000 and Kina (Bound) x50,000, while the repeatable Festival Preparations: Altamia Canyon II asks for 15. Spiritstone drops most often, at 3.9%, followed by Refining Stone at 0.65%. Pieces of Riverside gear drop at between 0.13% and 0.27%, Expert's Refining Stone at 0.16%, and Ethereal Gloves and Ethereal Boots at 0.10% each.
