The Distorted Spirit is a level 39 Normal creature in the open world of AION 2, and it won't attack on sight, so you can pick your fights. On the Elyos side it lives in Verteron, where it has 93 marked spots. Almost all of them, 92, sit along the Kraka Footpath, which makes that the place to farm it; the only other one is a single spot at Romlon's Hideout.

For the Kraka Footpath, teleport to the Laborer's Rest Stop statue and walk about 120 m. If you want the lone Romlon's Hideout spawn, the Kraka Uphill Path statue is about 220 m away. Every kill gives a guaranteed Soul: Black Spirit (Bound). Spiritstone drops at 3.9% and Refining Stone at 0.65%, while Expert's Refining Stone is a Rare drop at 0.16%. Pieces of the Common Riverside set also fall at between 0.13% and 0.27%, from the gloves, boots and cloak at the top end to the breastplate at the bottom. Comet Gloves, a Rare item, drop at 0.08%.
