Faded Chunk is a Normal-rank creature found in the open world of AION 2, sitting between levels 35–45 and attacking on sight. On the Asmodian side, all 13 of its marked spots in Altgard are in Fafnite Deposit, so that one area is the only place you need to visit to find them, and having every spawn gathered together makes it easy to work through them in a single loop.

The nearest teleport statue is Steel Hammer Workcamp, about 160 m from Fafnite Deposit, which makes for a short walk once you arrive. Most trips are for quests: The Dying of the Light I and Obtain Fafnite Crystals each ask for 20 kills, The Dying of the Light II asks for 25, and all three Duty quests pay Abyss Points x1,000 and Kina (Bound) x50,000. Festival Preparations: Fafnite Deposit III also calls for 20 kills and can be repeated. Every Faded Chunk drops Soul: Faded Drana (Bound), and you may also pick up a Shulak Loot Bundle (Bound) at 8.0%, a Soul Crystal (Bound) at 5.8% and a Refining Stone at 0.65%.
