Highland Zaif is a level 33 Normal creature that roams the open world of Verteron on the Elyos side. It does not attack on sight, so you can choose your targets without being dragged into fights you did not start. All 77 of its marked spots sit in Southern Altamia Highland, which makes that area the one place to go when you want to hunt it.

The nearest teleport statue is Southern Altamia Coastal Cliffs, about 260 m from the hunting ground. Every kill gives a guaranteed Soul: Zaif (Bound). Beyond that, Raw Leather drops at 5.8% and Fresh Raw Meat at 4.9%, while Refining Stone comes in at 0.65%. Riverside gear also turns up in small amounts: Gloves, Boots and Cloak at 0.27%, Helm and Pauldrons at 0.21%, Greaves at 0.18% and Breastplate at 0.13%. The rarest of these is Expert's Refining Stone, a Rare-grade item at 0.16%.
