Hill Zaif is a level 40 creature of Normal rank found in the open world of Verteron, on the Elyos side. It does not attack on sight, so you can pick your targets without being pulled into fights. Every one of its 60 marked spots in Verteron sits along Kraka Footpath, which makes that area the only place worth going when you want to hunt them.

The nearest teleport statue is Nahid Brigade Fortress Hill, about 210 m from Kraka Footpath, so the walk after arriving is a short one. Each Hill Zaif you defeat drops Soul: Zaif (Bound) without fail. Beyond that, Fresh Raw Meat drops at 4.9% and Raw Leather at 3.9%, while a Refining Stone appears at 0.65%. The rarer reward is the Expert's Refining Stone, a Rare-grade item with a 0.16% chance. Pieces of the Riverside set also drop, from the gloves, boots and cloak at 0.27% down to the breastplate at 0.13%.
