Scouting Karnif is a level 21, Normal-rank creature found in the open world of AION 2, and it attacks on sight. In Verteron, on the Elyos side, all 10 of its marked spots sit in Verteron Fortress Ruins, so that one area is where you go to hunt it. With every spawn grouped together, you can work through them in a loop without moving between areas.

Teleport to the Illusion Oratory Entrance statue, which stands about 20 m from the ruins, so the walk is very short. Expect to be attacked as soon as you get close. Every kill gives Soul: Modified Karnif (Bound). Beyond that, Fresh Raw Meat drops at 2.4% and Raw Leather at 1.9%. A Refining Stone turns up at 0.32%, and the Rare-grade Expert's Refining Stone at 0.08%. Pieces of Riverside armour also drop, from the gloves, boots and cloak at 0.13% each down to the breastplate at 0.07%.
