The Unruly Karnif is a level 19 Normal-rank creature in the open world of Verteron, on the Elyos side, and it attacks on sight. All 10 of its marked spots in the region sit in Verteron Fortress Ruins, so that is the only place you need to go. With every spawn packed into one area, you can work through them without moving between zones, but expect each one to come at you as soon as you get close.

Teleport to the Collapsed Pillar statue, which is about 190 m from Verteron Fortress Ruins, and walk the rest of the way. Every kill gives you Soul: Modified Karnif (Bound). Fresh Raw Meat drops at 2.4% and Raw Leather at 1.9%, while Refining Stone is rarer at 0.32%. Pieces of Forgotten armour drop at between 0.08% and 0.16%, and Rainy Forest Gloves, a Rare item, drop at 0.06%. Two duties send you here. Mass Layoffs needs 20 kills and pays Abyss Points x1,000 and Kina (Bound) x50,000. Festival Preparations: Verteron Fortress Ruins II is repeatable and needs 15.
