The Yellow-Tailed Skama is a level 36 Normal-rank creature found in the open world, and it does not attack on sight, so you can pick your fights at your own pace. On the Elyos side, all 30 of its marked spots in Verteron sit in the Contaminated Sanctum, which makes that one area the only place you need to visit for it.

Teleport to the Hill of Purification statue and walk about 150 m to reach the Contaminated Sanctum. Every kill guarantees Soul: Aberrant Skama (Bound), with a 3.9% chance at a Spiritstone and 0.65% at a Refining Stone, while Riverside gloves, boots and cloak each drop at 0.27%. Rarer finds include Expert's Refining Stone at 0.16% and Comet Gloves at 0.08%. Several quests send you here as well: Perilous Purification needs 3 kills, Price of Bravado needs 4, Clearing Contaminants I and II ask for 20 and 25, and the repeatable Festival Preparations: Contaminated Sanctum asks for 20.
