Sanctums are the puzzle dungeons scattered across Aniimo’s Breezy Plains. Each one hides a Vein you repair at the far end, a sealed aniimo you awaken and twine with to solve the room, and a set of chests you can loot on the way through.

Quick answer: Aniimo has 17 Sanctums, all within the Breezy Plains region. Every first clear pays 500 EXP and one Lumin Amber, and every chest inside adds Glimmer, Sparkling Crystals, and Credits.

How Sanctum rewards work

Every Sanctum hands out the same first-clear reward: 500 EXP and one Lumin Amber. That payout only lands once. Later visits keep the Transport point on your map but give nothing extra, so there is no clear to farm for repeat loot.

Clearing rooms also counts toward the Sanctum Delver badges, which trigger at 3, 5, 10, and 15 rooms cleared.

Every chest inside a Sanctum contains Glimmer, Sparkling Crystals, and Credits. Most chests then add a piece of gear or a crafting material on top, and those extras are what set each dungeon apart.

Repairing the Vein does not raise the chest counter. Collect every chest you want before you interact with the Terminus, because a skipped chest is not worth relying on after the room resolves.

Sanctums that require two players

Three Sanctums cannot be finished solo. Their puzzles use paired pads, held switches, and split lanes that need one player holding a mechanism while the other crosses, so bring a partner before you activate the entrance.

  • Lightning Gale, in Berylline Vale
  • Blazing Wings, in the Sea of Flowers
  • Courageous Wit, in Zephyrus Landbridge

Sanctums locked behind story progress

Twisted Roots

Twisted Roots sits in the central part of The Mistwoods, but the area stays sealed until you defeat Tuckin. Once the path opens, the dungeon runs on the aniimo you brought, and its single chest holds Ferocious Fang alongside the usual Glimmer, Sparkling Crystals, and Credits.

Stonebound Sword

Stonebound Sword becomes reachable during the Legend of Helmuts and Helgons quest in Russet Highlands. You clear a chain of objectives, and the Sanctum spawns near the end of that storyline. It pays the same 500 EXP and Lumin Amber first clear as the rest.

How to confirm a Sanctum is cleared

Use the entrance once to activate it; Transport to that Sanctum then appears on your map for later fast travel. Before going inside, check the entrance card for the required player count and the precise number of chests in the room.

Explore the altered rooms, upper ledges, and branching routes until your chest total equals the number displayed at the entrance. After collecting all the loot, go to the room’s central Sanctum Terminus (the Tesseract) and use it. This restores the Vein and completes the challenge, granting 500 EXP and Lumin Amber as the first-clear reward.
