Nimbus Fields is the opening stretch of Breezy Plains, where wild Aniimo sit at levels 5 to 15 and the ground looks deceptively empty. Under that calm surface, the region’s chests and Lumin Amber are buried in sand, frozen behind ice, pinned up by fire, floating on leaves, or hidden inside a Nimbi illusion. Walking the map is not enough. You clear it properly by carrying the right elements and the right movement.
Quick answer: Carry a Fire Aniimo, a Water type, a digger, and a flier before you start. The pickups split across the surface fields, the underground Crystal Cave, and the Sub-Idyllian Ruins.
Abilities to catch before you start
Five abilities are needed for nearly all the locked pickups here. Catch the relevant Aniimo before you begin; crossing the whole region again for one can take longer than the chest is worth.
- Fire thaws ice and scorches root barricades, brambles, and vines. Sparki, Emberpup, and Flameruff can all be found in this area.
- Water extinguishes the flames keeping a chest suspended in the air. Skippy and Pranky inhabit the river in the west.
- Digging reveals buried dirt piles and chests. Budclaw can use Tunnel while underground.
- Use Flight or gliding to reach floating amber, elevated ledges, and the cave’s vertical shafts.
- Raw break damage smashes the boulders and stones sealing several chests.
Giant dandelions provide a free lift. Even without a flier, you can grab one and drift across to several floating pickups.

Add to Google Preferences →Nimbus Fields collectibles: full region tally
Nimbus Fields runs across a level 5 to 15 band in Breezy Plains and holds a fixed count of collectible points. These are the totals the game itself tracks for the region, which is what your exploration percentage is measured against.
| Collectible | Count |
|---|---|
| Chests | 61 |
| 11 | |
| Blooms | 5 |
| Lumin collections | 4 |
| Bonfires | 2 |
| Pathfinder challenges | 2 |
| Ecological points | 10 |
Surface chest locations and coordinates
Search three surface zones for chest clusters: the river and ruins in the west, the fields surrounding the Bloom in the center, and the dandelion trees eastward by the Mistwoods border. Choose a chest symbol on the map, then use its distance pin to find it.

Illusion chests
Nimbi clouds can make a chest appear somewhere other than its real location, such as beside an overgrown flower or above an empty field. Dispel the illusion, and it falls onto the pathway for you to open. This happens with the chests at -1309, 0874, -1095, 0767, and -1088, 0768.
Fire, water, and ice chests
Brambles and vines burn away with any Fire skill, which frees the chests at -1455, 0774 and -1244, 0699. Ice blocks melt the same way, covering the chest in the small cavern at -1325, 0949 and the one encased along the river at -1367, 0900. The chest at -1365, 0845 floats above a ruin on a gust produced by a fire below it. Twine with a Water Aniimo to douse the flame and drop it, or simply fly up to it.

Buried, boxed, and boulder chests
The chest at -1392, 0787 is partly buried under sand, so twine with a Budclaw and dig it out. A second one sits in the middle of a Budclaw group at -1469, 0794, which needs the Tunnel skill before you can reach it. Break stones for the cavern chest at -1484, 0769, smash the boulders on top of -1067, 0637, and destroy the large wooden crate at -1207, 0816 to expose the box inside.

Open and ledge chests
Some chests are out in the open among flowers or on bare rock. They show no prompt until you are within reach, so you can easily miss the boxes scattered across the fields. Others are tucked along cliff ledges; glide or descend to a hidden shelf to collect them.

Full surface coordinates, with the obstacle at each one:
| Chest | Coordinates | How to reach it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | -0978, 0800 | Ride dandelions to the treetop |
| 2 | -0949, 0806 | Glide down from the tree peak to the debris |
| 3 | -1187, 0934 | By a cliff wall beside a large root |
| 4 | -1348, 0910 | Hill above the water-creature crevice |
| 5 | -1325, 0949 | Melt the ice inside a small cavern |
| 6 | -1309, 0874 | Break the Nimbi illusion, then open it on the path |
| 7 | -1365, 0845 | Douse the fire below with Water, or fly up |
| 8 | -1392, 0787 | Dig it out of the sand with a Budclaw |
| 9 | -1455, 0774 | Burn the brambles off |
| 10 | -1469, 0794 | Tunnel and dig inside the Budclaw group |
| 11 | -1484, 0769 | Break the stones in the small cavern |
| 12 | -1095, 0767 | Open field once the illusion clears |
| 13 | -1088, 0768 | Open field once the illusion clears |
| 14 | -0998, 0850 | Open field near the Mistwoods cliff |
| 15 | -1476, 0857 | Near the Forest of Falling Stars border |
| 16 | -1107, 0776 | Out in the open on rock |
| 17 | -1067, 0637 | Smash the boulders on top |
| 18 | -1518, 0794 | Between two stone totems near the Freshsprout Hill Branch |
| 19 | -1367, 0900 | Melt the ice along the river |
| 20 | -1327, 0956 | In a gap under stone ruins |
| 21 | -1233, 0903 | On a leaf high in the air; fly or glide up |
| 22 | -1187, 0991 | Near a small cliff ledge |
| 23 | -1152, 0878 | On a small shelf above a ledge |
| 24 | -1207, 0816 | Inside a large wooden crate |
| 25 | -1242, 0796 | Out in the open near some ruins |
| 26 | -1255, 0791 | Out in the open |
| 27 | -1236, 0774 | Next to a collapsed pillar |
| 28 | -1263, 0769 | Under overgrown ruins |
| 29 | -1244, 0699 | In a rocky corner behind flammable brambles |
One corridor in the deeper ruins offers two rewards. Burn the barricades, use the air current to rise, and collect the chest and Lumin Amber from the high floating platforms above.
Crystal Cave chests underground
Many of the region’s collectibles are hidden below ground. The Crystal Cave beneath Nimbus Fields contains roughly ten additional chests and several Lumin Amber. Bring Fire, since root clusters block nearly every doorway.

The underground chests themselves sit at -1217, 0732 (ice above flammable brambles), -1199, 0771 (middle of the cave path), -1134, 0833 (held to the ceiling by flammable vines), -1093, 0842 (floating in water at the bottom of a hole), and -1065, 0849 (at the end of the cave).
Sub-Idyllian Ruins chests
Past the deepest tunnels, the route opens into the Sub-Idyllian Ruins, reached through a coastal crevice off the cliffs near First Spark. Explore along the broken bridges to open the first chest here. The last one is tucked behind wind drafts and vertical iron bars, where you ride the gusts and squeeze through the gaps to reach it.
Lumin Amber locations in Nimbus Fields
Lumin Amber is the more important collectible, as it serves as currency for upgrading the region’s Branch. Nine surface ambers have fixed coordinates; completing each awards EXP and Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains.

| Pickup | Coordinates | How to claim |
|---|---|---|
| Lumin Amber 1 | -1501, 0789 | Capture a Blessed Budclaw |
| Lumin Amber 2 | -1392, 0813 | Floats over water near Skippy |
| Lumin Amber 3 | -1343, 0946 | Fly or ride a dandelion up |
| Lumin Amber 4 | -1056, 0861 | Beat or catch three Nimbi |
| Lumin Amber 5 | -1094, 0761 | Capture a Blessed Nimbi |
| Run, Emberpup! | -1161, 0759 | Timed run across from the Bloom |
| Race Towards the Yellow | -0993, 0609 | Atop a small ruined structure |
| Core Descent | -1288, 0922 | Path at the base of the Branch hill |
| Gate of Ruins | -1342, 0821 | Line the pillar up with the archway |
For a Lumin Collection, start at its marker and gather every floating energy mote before time expires. Dash from one cluster to the next to improve your chances of finishing on the first try. Lumin Markings require you to solve a perspective puzzle: step back from the stone formation and move sideways until the carved symbols line up as one shape.
There are two additional surface ambers beyond those coordinates. South of the Branch, burn the vines covering a stone platform, then ride the air current above it to the amber at the lift’s top. The other lies near the southern portal, where oversized plant leaves serve as a bed for wild Nimbi. Transform into a Nimbi and lie beside them; the nap grants the reward without a fight.
The rest are inside the Crystal Cave, collected during the route above: the Collapsed Corridor timer, the floating amber on the climb, the amber from the rare Pebbling, and the Runaway Amber chase in the crystal chamber.
The Blessed Nimbi by the stone ruins sparkles and runs, making a Quick Catch necessary. Your odds improve considerably with an Aniipod Mega instead of a standard pod.
Weather chests and Rainstorm spawns
One chest on a cliff edge is tied to the weather. When it rains, a Nimbi appears at the spot, and completing its request hands you the chest. If the sky is clear, nothing is there to interact with.
Rain also unlocks additional spawns. Nimbi and Turbo appear in their Rainstorm forms only in Rainy or Thunderstorm conditions. A region’s weather cycle starts only after you complete it past 70 percent. Collecting the chests and amber triggers the rain, enabling those weather-dependent spawns.
How to confirm Nimbus Fields is cleared
As you collect items, their markers disappear from the region map and Nimbus Fields’ exploration percentage rises. Each Lumin Amber pickup displays a Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains reward as well as EXP; spend the ambers at the Branch to improve buffs that affect the region.
Sweep the surface from west to east first. The river, ruins, and Budclaw groups in that area account for most chests that require abilities. Save the Crystal Cave for a single final pass, once your active team includes a flying Aniimo, a burrowing Aniimo, and a Fire Aniimo.
