Starine is one of the earliest materials you can pick up in Aniimo, and the star-shaped fruit points you toward a hidden nest deep in the Forest of Falling Stars. Collecting it in bulk is the key to summoning Stellarys and pushing the Celestis line forward.

Quick answer: Gather at least 20 Starine, travel to the Nest of Stars with a Celestis in your party, collect three Big Starine on site, and deposit all three in the nests to summon Stellarys.

What you need before you start

The Investigation that opens the Celestis Evolution Line unlocks once you are around level 20 and reach the correct pocket of the forest. Bring a few things with you before you head in.

  • A character at roughly level 20 to trigger the quest.
  • At least 20 Starine gathered from the fruit hanging around the cave.
  • A Celestis in your party so you can Twine with it to enter the nest.

Where to find the Nest of Stars

The Forest of Falling Stars sits directly north of the first Outpost you visit in Idyll. Follow a straight line from the Bloom and you will arrive at the purple woods where Celestis glide between the Starine trees.

Once inside, follow the stream until you reach the location marked Nest of Stars. The route hugs the water, so it is hard to miss. Twine with your Celestis to step into the nest, where three large empty nests wait right in front of the entrance.

Collect the three Big Starine

Interacting with the empty nests reveals that they want Big Starine, a larger material found only in this area. You do not need to gather them in any set order.

Head to the right of the cave and search the fallen trunk to grab the first Big Starine.
Move to the left side of the nests, where a Celestis guards the second one. Hand over 10 Starine and it releases the Big Starine behind it.
For the third, follow the Celestis near the Star Tree. Climb the pillars, then glide down as a Celestis to knock the floating Big Starine to the ground and collect it.

Summon Stellarys and claim the rewards

With all three Big Starine in hand, return to the nests and deposit them. This starts a Star Fall as the Celestis gather to celebrate, and Stellarys appears. That cutscene confirms the quest is finished.

The reward chest hands over several Evolution Materials, including the rare Treasured Large Starine. Take that item to Parfumer Dael to craft Peace of Mind, which completes A Fragrant Journey: Forest of Falling Stars and advances your Training Paths. Do not leave the area without grabbing the Elite Golden Chest nearby.

Finishing this goal counts toward your Elite Training Goals, raising your Pathfinder Level and the level cap for both you and your Aniimo. It also unlocks the Alpha Aniimo (Stellarys) boss fight in the same forest.

You only get one chance to catch the Alpha Stellarys after beating it, so bring an Aniipod Ultra for a 100% catch rate.

Stellarys, the Celestis line payoff

Stellarys is a Dark and Ice DPS from the Celestis family, and it is the evolved form the whole quest builds toward.

Other ways to use Starine

Starine is more than a quest item. It doubles as an Evolution Material for the Celestis family, so you can raise the level of your Celestis and Stellarys without relying on combat. Any spare fruit can also be sold for credits from your inventory.

Once your Celestis reaches level 18 and you have beaten Stellarys, you can evolve it. That step also requires Night Stone, the material shared by all Dark-type Aniimo.

Optional extras inside the Nest of Stars

  • Interact with every Celestis in the Nest of Stars to complete the Celestis Family Research.
  • After the Star Tree is active, ride the updraft to a hidden nest on top and interact with it to raise your Research Level.
  • Rest on the bench near the tree if you want to line up some photos.

Between summoning Stellarys, crafting Peace of Mind, and stocking up on Starine for evolutions, this single pocket of the Forest of Falling Stars sets up much of your early Celestis progression.
