Blazen is Aniilog No. 046, a Lightning Aniimo in the Break role that evolves from Bolty. Every route to it runs through Blitzwood, the storm-struck woodland in the Breezy Plains region, and each route asks for something different from you: a short puzzle, a boss fight, patience with spawns, or a Bolty you have already raised.

Quick answer: Head to Blitzwood. Free the caged Blazen using Gravity Pull and a Lightning skill, or defeat the Level 50 Alpha Blazen on the island to the south and catch it.

Blazen locations in Blitzwood

Open your map and look at the Breezy Plains region. Blitzwood sits in the north-east of the area, and the fast travel point there is the anchor for every method below. Wild Blazen in the surrounding zone sit around Level 40 to 45, and the enemies patrolling the woods near the ruin run to Level 48 or 49, so bring a team that can survive a few hits before you start poking around.

Free the caged Blazen in the Blitzwood ruin

One Blazen is locked behind bars inside a stone structure close to the Blitzwood fast travel point. It is the cheapest route because it costs no Aniipods and no boss attempt, just a short electrical puzzle. Do it in daylight so you can actually see the interior.

Teleport to the southern Blitzwood travel point and run south until you reach the stone ruin at roughly -0809, 0643. The building has no front door worth using; look along its sides for the opening and slip in there.
Inside you will see the trapped Blazen behind the bars, with a ball resting on the floor nearby. Use your Pathfinder’s Gravity Pull talent to lift the ball.
Carry the ball to the receptacle beside the cage and drop it into place. Nothing happens yet, because the mechanism still has no power.
Charge the loaded receptacle with a Lightning skill. A Bolty or a Blazen in your party can do it directly. The current runs through the mechanism, the bars retract, and the Blazen inside becomes available to you.

Defeat and catch the Alpha Blazen

The more reliable route is the Alpha. It sits alone on a small island just off the coast south of Blitzwood, it is always there, and beating it also unlocks the evolution path for your own Bolty. The fight is the barrier, not the travel.

Leave the ruin and head south toward the cliffside, then cross to the small island at around -0841, 0593. The Alpha’s marker shows on the map with its stats and element recommendations before you commit.

Check the recommendation panel on the challenge screen and build around it. Water attackers are marked as not recommended for this fight, so leave them on the bench.
Start the fight. The Alpha Blazen is Level 50, so a team that is badly under-levelled will simply lose the damage race.
Beat it, then throw an Aniipod to catch it. Breaking the target first gives a 1.5× catch bonus, and hitting from behind gives another 1.5× on top of the base 22 percent rate for the Basic Form.

If you have an Aniipod Ultra spare, use it after the first clear to make the catch certain instead of relying on chance. The Alpha returns every 20 seconds, so one failed attempt will not end the run.

Clearing it the first time also hands over the First Clear Reward and the Wayfinder Title Reward.

Farm Blazen through a Blitzwood Wild Surge

Skip spending an Aniipod Ultra by nurturing Blitzwood’s Bloom to trigger a Wild Surge. First, feed the Blitzwood branch Lightning Shards, then nurture it; this guarantees Bolty spawns, and those can become Blazen. This route relies on chance but can be repeated, unlike the caged Blazen.

Evolve Bolty into Blazen

Bolty is the Lumin stage of the line, and it becomes Blazen at the Nova stage. The evolution is gated behind three things rather than a level alone.

  • Your Bolty must reach the required Aniimo level.
  • You must have defeated the Alpha Blazen.
  • The evolution has to be performed standing under the Blitz Tree in Blitzwood, which is near the Alpha’s location.
  • Roar Stone is consumed as the evolution material.

That makes the Alpha fight worth doing even if you already freed the caged Blazen, because it is the switch that opens the evolution for every Bolty you raise afterwards.

Prismana and Mountain Woods forms

Blazen has three entries in the Aniilog, and they are obtained separately. Completing the set grants a small collection bonus of +2 Powerful Attack.

FormNo.ElementsHow it is obtained
Basic46ALightningCatch or evolve
Prismana46BDark / LightningCatch only
Mountain Woods46CLightningEvolve a woodland Bolty

Prismana Blazen spawns on the plateau east of Blitzwood during a Prismana Flow event. Only one appears per event and it does not respawn, so treat a sighting as a single attempt and approach it from behind with the break bonus already banked.

How to confirm you have Blazen

A successful catch or release writes the entry into your Aniilog under No. 046, listed as a Lightning Aniimo in the Break role at the Nova stage, and the Blazen itself appears in your roster ready to join a party. If the Aniilog slot is still blank, the catch did not land.

Outside combat it carries Climb Lv. 3 and High Jump for traversal, plus Lightning and Artisanship jobs at your Homeland, so even a spare Blazen sitting outside your active party keeps earning its keep by supplying electricity and crafting goods.
