Eko is the small Wind Support that shows up in the Forest of Falling Stars, and it has exactly one evolution: Eklue. There is no middle Gamma-stage form in the line, so a single evolution takes you from a Lumin-stage catch straight to a Nova-stage support with an ultimate and two extra utility skills.

Quick answer: Raise Eko to Aniimo level 25, make sure its Acquired ATK Potential is 6 or higher, then spend Gust Stone x1 from the Evolve screen in Aniimo Management.

Eko to Eklue evolution requirements

Three things gate the evolution, and all of them are visible on the Evolve screen before you commit. Nothing else is required — no quest, no time of day, no weather.

  • Aniimo level 25 on the Eko you want to evolve
  • Acquired ATK Potential of 6 or higher, shown in game as Incredible ATK Potential
  • Gust Stone x1, consumed when the evolution is confirmed

The ATK Potential check is the part that catches people out. It is a property of the individual creature, not something you level into, so an Eko that rolled a low attack potential will never clear the requirement no matter how much experience you pour into it. If yours is short, catch another one and check its potential before investing.

Where to catch Eko

Eko appears in the Forest of Falling Stars, in the Breezy Plains region, at levels 20 to 25. Because wild ones spawn close to the level cap for the evolution, a fresh catch usually only needs a handful of levels before it qualifies. A wild Eko is Prismana roughly once in 20,000 encounters.

Catch a few rather than one. Since ATK Potential is rolled per creature, having spares to compare is faster than trying to fix a bad roll.

How to evolve Eko in Aniimo

Open the main menu. The button varies by platform, but the prompt is always shown in the top right corner of the screen.
Go to Aniimo Management. It sits in the top row of the menu, between the Inventory page and the mini map icon.
Select your Eko from the list of creatures in your box and on your active team.
Press the evolve icon near the bottom right of the creature page, just left of the Level Up option. It is the small circular icon showing an animal with arrows pointing up.
Check the requirements listed in the upper right of the evolution page, then confirm with the Evolve button in the bottom right. The Gust Stone is spent at this point and the change is permanent.

How to confirm the evolution worked

Eklue registers as No. 32 in the Aniilog, one entry after Eko, and its stage reads Nova instead of Lumin. The model is also visibly larger, going from 0.75 m tall to 1.4 m. In Homeland, its Wind ability level moves from 1 to 3, which is the clearest non-combat sign that the change went through.

The skill list is the other giveaway. Detect Weakness, Tactical Kick and Target Weakness are all new on evolution, so if those three are present on the creature page, you are done.

The biggest jump is survivability rather than damage. HP climbs by nearly half while attack rises modestly, which fits the role — both forms are Wind Supports, and Eklue is meant to stay alive long enough to keep debuffs running rather than to carry a fight.

Eklue skills and how the Weakness Mark loop works

Arc Strike102015s
Tactical Kick20451s
Detect Weakness0Utility15s
Target Weakness0Utility8s

Detect Weakness is the setup tool. Eklue emits sonar from the ring on its tail, and holding an enemy’s weak point in the center of the detection area tags it with Weakness Mark, lowering that target’s CRIT resistance for a period afterwards. It costs no EP, so there is no reason not to open with it.

Target Weakness is the ultimate, and it does the same job on a much wider scale. It applies Weakness Mark to every target in view for 30 seconds and cuts their Wind Resistance for the same duration, which turns a crowd into one large window for your Wind damage dealers.

Arc Strike is the payoff. The sweep itself is modest, but anything already carrying Weakness Mark gets stunned for 2.5 seconds when it connects. Pair it with Detect Weakness or the ultimate and it becomes a reliable crowd stun rather than a filler attack.

Tactical Kick is the only real damage button in the kit at 45 power. Eklue dashes in, lands a backflip kick, then jumps back to where it started, leaving the target at -30% movement speed for 10 seconds. The retreat built into the animation keeps it out of counterattack range.

Eko itself learns Sonar Attack, which applies Weakness Mark on its tenth and final hit. Eklue does not keep it, so the mark comes from Detect Weakness and Target Weakness after evolving.

Wind element matchups for Eko and Eklue

SituationElementsMultiplier
Wind attacks dealDark, Grass1.6x
Wind attacks dealElectric, Wind0.625x
Wind takesElectric, Holy1.6x
Wind takesDark, Wind0.625x

Everything not listed lands for normal damage. The practical read is to bring Eklue against Dark and Grass teams and bench it against Electric ones, where it both hits softer and takes 1.6x in return.

Regional and special forms

Neither creature in this line has a regional variant or an alternate form. Both exist only in their basic form, which means there is no form-completion stat bonus to chase and no second evolution branch to weigh up before spending the Gust Stone.

Research tasks for the Eko line

Each form has two special research entries worth knowing before you evolve, since one of them is only available while you still have an Eko in the wild to observe.

  • Eko: take a photo of one sleeping upside down
  • Eko: approach one while in Cloak state
  • Eklue: use Detect Weakness to apply Weakness Marks to 8 targets at once
  • Eklue: Twine with a Lumin-stage Wind Aniimo and approach an Eklue

With one stone and one level threshold standing between the two forms, the Eko line is one of the cheapest support upgrades in the Breezy Plains. The only real cost is patience while you find a catch with the attack potential to clear the check.
