Legendary Aniipods are event-only capture tools in Aniimo, built specifically to bond with a Legendary Aniimo rather than to catch anything in the wild. Right now they are tied to the Walking with Irisalis event, which features the Legendary form of Irisalis and the one-time encounter you need the pod to complete.

Quick answer: Collect 99 Irisalis Petals, open the Walking with Irisalis event tab, and craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. That unlocks the rift in the Sea of Flowers where you fight and catch Legendary Irisalis.

The two Legendary Aniipods and what they cost

There are currently two Legendary Aniipods, and both are crafted from Irisalis Petals. The first one you can claim is the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. Crafting it also opens the option to craft the second pod, Legendary Aniipod: Departure with the Wind.

Legendary AniipodCostWhat it does
Irisalis99 Irisalis PetalsBonds with and captures Legendary Irisalis; cannot be used on any other Aniimo.
Departure with the Wind49 Irisalis PetalsGuarantees a catch with Perfect Potential plus the season Sparkling effect; limited to 10 during the event.

The Departure with the Wind pod only becomes available once you have crafted the Irisalis pod. It is capped at 10 copies for the duration of the event, so plan your petal spending around that limit.

Collect Irisalis Petals

Irisalis Petals are the crafting currency for both pods, and they come from a mix of one-time pickups, repeatable activities, and a weekly shop. The event runs through December 9, 2026, which gives you several weekly cycles to reach the 99-petal total.

  • Gather the 8 fixed petals scattered across Breezy Plains.
  • Progress the main story and complete Journey Quests.
  • Clear Elite Pathfinder Challenges and first-clear Alpha bosses.
  • Earn Silver Badges by hitting 70% regional capture progress.
  • Infuse Lumin Amber into the Breezy Plains Branch (Branch Nurture).
  • Complete Aniimo Topics in the Anilog, and run Tracing the Trail dispatches.

For a steady weekly top-up, the Stamp Shop sells Irisalis Petals for 50 Windborn Stamps each, with a limit of 4 per week. Windborn Stamps come from Stamp Rush activities such as Wild Surge, defeating Alphas, and Holo-Battle modes.

All 8 gatherable petal locations in Breezy Plains

Eight petals can be picked up from set spots. The last one sits behind a forcefield barrier in Tideblossom Coast that only opens after you clear the relevant main campaign step.

Craft the pod and catch Legendary Irisalis

Once you have the 99 petals, the capture runs as a short authored sequence rather than a random catch attempt. The encounter happens once, so sort your team and have the pod in hand before you start the fight.

Open the Walking with Irisalis event tab and select Craft to forge the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. The crafting screen shows the 99-petal requirement and a single craft attempt.

You know it worked when Irisalis joins your roster as your ally. The Aniipod: Irisalis is consumed by this capture and has no other use.

When to use each Legendary Aniipod

The two pods serve different jobs. The Irisalis pod is a dedicated key for the Legendary encounter and nothing else, so save it strictly for that fight. The Departure with the Wind pod is where the extra effects live.

Departure with the Wind ensures a successful capture, gives the Aniimo Perfect Potential, and adds the season-exclusive Sparkling effect. In Version 1.1, you can also use it on a Sparkling Aniimo you own, replacing its original Aniipod with the current Legendary Aniipod; the Aniimo then receives the corresponding exclusive Sparkling effect.

Alongside those effects, it adds a new exclusive display background to your chosen Sparkling Aniimo. You can see this background in the Aniimo Management tab from the menu.

Because the Departure with the Wind pod is capped at 10 and carries Perfect Potential plus a one-season Sparkling effect, treat each copy as a decision about a specific Sparkling Aniimo you actually want to keep, not a routine catch tool. The event stays open until December 9, 2026, so there is time to pick your targets rather than spend petals early.
