Nimbi is one of the earliest Wind Aniimo you can add to your roster, and it is not locked behind a quest, a boss, or a weather event. The basic form grazes in the open, in groups, in a starting-tier zone.

Quick answer: Catch a wild Nimbi in Nimbus Fields, in the Breezy Plains region. Herds roam the grassy hills and spawn at any time of day, in any weather.

Where Nimbi spawns in Aniimo

Two areas hold Nimbi, and both sit inside Breezy Plains. Nimbus Fields is the one you want early, since the zone’s level band overlaps with where most players will be when Nimbi first shows up in the Aniilog. The Argent Strait is the higher-level option and is worth ignoring until later.

Basic Nimbi in Nimbus Fields tend to sit around level 16 to 18, so a party in the mid-teens can handle a herd without much trouble.

How to find and catch Nimbi in Nimbus Fields

Open the map and move to the Breezy Plains region. Nimbus Fields is labelled directly on it, and the spawn zones for wild creatures show up as yellow grid squares over the terrain.

Fast travel to the nearest transporter or bonfire in Nimbus Fields. The Bespectabled Nimbi NPC, a Senior Sheepy who stands around in the settlement area, is a reliable landmark to orient from.
Head south on foot or by mount into the open grassy hills. Wild Nimbi graze in small groups out in the fields rather than hiding in cover, so a short ride is usually enough to put a herd on screen.

Approach a Nimbi and catch it the same way you would any other wild Aniimo. Herds contain several of them, so a failed attempt does not mean a long walk back.
Open the Aniilog and check entry No. 17A. A caught Nimbi registers there with its Wind element and Support role listed, which is your confirmation that the catch went through.

Nimbi form variants and their spawn conditions

Nimbi has four recorded forms, and collecting all of them grants a small Constitution bonus on the Aniilog entry. Three of them are still tied to Nimbus Fields, so you rarely need to travel far to fill the set.

Rainstorm is the one variant with a hard gate on it. It only turns up in Nimbus Fields while it is raining, and its soaked wool conducts lightning, which is why it carries a second element and an extra thunder skill the other forms do not have.

The basic form ignores the clock entirely, so there is no reason to sit and wait for a specific time of day before going out to catch your first one.

What Nimbi does on your team

Nimbi is a Lumin stage, Wind element Support that fights at range with magic. Its defining trait is Shrouded in Mist, which builds up while Nimbi is off the field or throwing basic attacks and is then spent on the next skill to upgrade it. As a Wind creature it takes extra damage from Electric and Light attacks, so it is happier hanging back than tanking.

Thunder Bolt throws thundercloud projectiles that, while Shrouded in Mist is active, detonate on impact for damage equal to 120% Might and inflict Paralysis. Cloud Shield wraps Nimbi in cloud cover that absorbs damage up to 15% of its max HP and cuts stamina use by 15% for 20 seconds; under Shrouded in Mist, that absorption rises to 19% of max HP. Cloud Orb rounds out the kit with a condensed cloud missile that produces a larger explosion when the state is spent on it.

Outside combat, Nimbi is a traversal pick. Its mobility skill Puff Up lets you jump higher and add one mid-air dash, and it carries Fly as a pathfinding ability. It also brings Leisure and Wind Homeland abilities when you park it at your base.

How to evolve Nimbi at level 21

Nimbi reaches its evolution point at Lv. 21 and can branch in two directions from there. Both routes skip the Gamma stage and land in the Nova stage.

  • Turbo (Wind): unlock the path by defeating the Alpha Turbo, then evolve a Lv. 21 Nimbi using Gust Stone x3.
  • Dreaple (Dark): learn the Dreamsong passive talent, rest with the Pathfinder from night through to day with Nimbi in your party, then pay Night Stone x3.

The Rainstorm, Cloudmist, and Plateau forms only follow the Turbo branch, and the Rainstorm evolution keeps its rainy weather requirement attached.

If you are chasing Aniilog completion rather than a specific build, catch a handful of basic Nimbi on your first trip through Nimbus Fields, keep one spare at low level for the variant collection, and come back on a rainy day for the Rainstorm entry.
