Shrubclaw (Beach Form) is the coconut-shelled regional variant of the Shrubclaw line, and it only turns up in one place in Aniimo. It is a Rock (Earth) Aniimo with the BREAK role, and you can either catch one in the wild or raise the matching Budclaw form and evolve it.

Quick answer: Find Shrubclaw (Beach Form) in the shallow water around Echoback Landing’s far beach and outer islands, near map coordinates -1674, 1495; alternatively, evolve a Budclaw (Beach Form) at level 21.

Where to find Shrubclaw (Beach Form) in Echoback Landing

Echoback Landing, in the Breezy Plains region, is the only habitat for this form. Both the Beach Form Shrubclaw and its pre-evolution share that spawn area, so a single trip can cover both. Open the Aniilog entry for the creature and check the habitat listing before you travel — it marks Echoback Landing as the sole location and shows whether you have already registered the form.

On the map, the spawn cluster sits near coordinates -1674, 1495, on the outer edge of the zone. Three spawn markers sit along the far beach and the small islands past it, and the creatures themselves drift in the shallow water right at the waterline rather than inland on the sand.

  • Region: Breezy Plains
  • Area: Echoback Landing (level band 36–40)
  • Element: Rock (Earth), role BREAK, Nova stage
  • Size: 1.3 m tall, 25 kg
  • Sparkling appearance rate: 1 in 20,000

How to catch Shrubclaw (Beach Form) in the shallows

Open the map, select Breezy Plains, and travel to Echoback Landing. Use the nearest transporter and move toward the coordinates listed above so you come out close to the coast.
Run out to the far beach and the outer islands rather than the main inland stretch. The three spawn squares sit together at the outer edge of the zone, so once you reach one you are within a short sprint of the others.
Scan the shallow water along the shoreline. The Beach Form floats just off the sand, which makes it easy to run past if you only search the dry beach and the grassy slope behind it.
Lock on with Tab to confirm the nameplate before you commit. Wild encounters here sit around Lv. 39, and the nameplate is the quickest way to tell a Shrubclaw apart from the smaller Budclaw wandering the same beach.

Wear the target down, then throw an Aniipod. Shrubclaw has high physical defense and the Tunnel mobility skill, so it can shrug off ranged pokes and dig out of reach while you chip at it.

Shrubclaw sleeps at night. A sleeping target on the shoreline is far easier to approach, and hitting it from behind before it wakes improves your odds on the throw.

How to get Shrubclaw (Beach Form) by evolving Budclaw

If the Shrubclaw spawns are on cooldown, the pre-evolution is on the same beach and is easier to take down. Budclaw (Beach Form) is the Lumin-stage version that wears a coconut husk as a shell, and it evolves into the exact same Beach Form Shrubclaw.

You need two things: the Budclaw must reach Aniimo level 21, and you must spend Loam Stone x1. Both conditions show on the evolution screen, and the option stays greyed out until the level requirement is met. The form carries over, so a Beach Form Budclaw can never produce the Basic, Mudflat, or Bay Shrubclaw.

That spread totals 550, and it leans hard into defense and breaking rather than damage. Its trait, Stealth, builds Momentum whenever its skills deal damage, up to six stacks, and Momentum builds twice as fast while it is tunneling. At six stacks its BREAK efficiency goes up by 30 percent. Unlike the Basic Form, the Beach Form is pure Rock, so it takes extra damage from Grass and Water hits.

How to confirm you registered the Beach Form

After a successful catch or evolution, open the Aniilog and check the Shrubclaw entry. The form selector should show Beach Form filled in alongside Basic, Mudflat, and Bay, with the entry text about ripe fruit falling into the sand and growing into food and shelter for Budclaws.

A first-time registration pays out Growth Flower x2, and filing a report on it returns 100 Credits. If the reward does not appear, you are looking at a form you already owned rather than a new log entry.
