Because the Sea of Flowers is an early-game area, access is not the problem. Reaching the recommended level for the region before you head out is still sensible, since the surrounding creatures scale to the zone and a Lv. 35 target will not go down quietly if the fight goes long.

Since the Thunderstorm Thornblade will not respawn and only one can exist at once, chip away at its health instead of using a burst attack that could finish it.
How to confirm the capture worked
A successful catch is unmistakable. The screen posts a notification reading “Thornblade Special Form collection progress increased. Collaboration Ability Level +1!” and drops Pale Thorn x1 into your inventory. The item’s description calls it proof of victory over the Thunderstorm Thornblade, so it doubles as a permanent record that you cleared the encounter.
You can also check the Aniilog. The Thunderstorm form occupies entry No. 34B, sitting between the standard Thornblade at 34A and Prismana Thornblade at 34C, and it will switch from a silhouette to a full portrait once registered.

Neither path produces the Thunderstorm form.
