Within Aniimo, Susuta is among the rare Water families whose final evolution branches permanently for the creature you own. Popota can become Panpanta or Piopiota, but cannot become both. Piopiota’s route relies on interacting in the field: draw in a wild Susuta of the other gender and have it follow, rather than defeating a boss.
Quick answer: Twine with a level 39 Popota at Echoback Landing, walk near wild Susuta until one turns pink and follows you, then open the Evolve menu and spend one Wave Stone.
Susuta evolution line and Wave Stone costs
The family has three evolution entries: Susuta changes into Popota without using materials, then Popota can take either of two parallel Nova-stage forms. Panpanta and Piopiota are both final forms.

| Evolution | Requirement | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Susuta → Popota | Aniimo level 29 | None |
| Popota → Panpanta | Level 39; defeat the Alpha Panpanta | Wave Stone x1 |
| Popota → Piopiota | Level 39; attract an opposite-gender Susuta | Wave Stone x1 |

These are two separate level 39 choices, not consecutive evolutions. To record both final forms in your Aniilog, get two Popota and take each along a different route.
Wave Stone is the evolution material for both branches. It is obtained by defeating Alpha Aniimo, so a single Alpha clear along this coast gives you what you need for either path.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to catch Susuta in Echoback Landing
Echoback Landing holds the entire line. This coastal area of the Breezy Plains region is suited to levels 36 to 40. Susuta roam the beach beside the water; capture them with an Anispod, as you would any Lumin-stage Aniimo. Their element is Water, their role is BREAK, and Swim Lv. 1 helps with pathfinding.
Register your catch at an Outpost
Fast travel to an Outpost, approach the Research Console, and use the F prompt to interact. On the report screen, choose the Aniimo to submit its catch report. Once registered, a catch boosts your research level and goes into your Box; any Nighttime Form you collected will be there too.
Evolve Susuta into Popota at level 29
For this first evolution, you need only meet the level requirement; no materials are needed. Keep Susuta in your active party or use EXP items until it reaches Aniimo level 29, then confirm through the Evolve menu. Popota remains Water-element and BREAK-role, with the early shared moves—basic ATK, Water Dash, and Water Cannon. Its stats shift: attack goes from 61 to 96, and HP reaches 92.

How to get Piopiota: attract a wild Susuta with Popota
There is no boss battle on this route; it uses an interaction in the field instead. Raise Popota to level 39, draw a wild Susuta of the opposite gender close enough to follow, and spend one Wave Stone. Wild Susuta are found in Echoback Landing, making that the convenient spot for this evolution.

On the beach, Piopiota’s charm draws wild Aniimo closer, making another trip along this route much less tedious.
How to confirm the Piopiota evolution worked
There is a clear confirmation when the attraction counts: a wild Susuta turns pink, follows you, and the prompt “A remarkable change is about to happen” appears. Before using any resources, you can verify by opening Popota’s Evolve menu. Beside Piopiota’s attraction requirement, a completed marker appears along with the level and Wave Stone cost. No marker means the Susuta you approached was the same gender.
After the animation finishes, Piopiota appears with the Support role and Swim Lv. 3 pathfinding, which is what qualifies it for swimming-based partner tasks.
How to get Panpanta: defeat the Alpha Panpanta
To evolve along the Panpanta route, take the combat path: get Popota to level 39, defeat the Alpha Panpanta, and spend one Wave Stone. Wild Panpanta are also found in Echoback Landing, so you can inspect the area and prepare for the encounter there.

Panpanta is a Water BREAK unit focused on applying BREAK pressure; within the family, its HP and BREAK stats are the highest. It has Swim Lv. 1 for pathfinding, as well as Leisure Lv. 3 and Water Lv. 3 homeland abilities.

Piopiota and Panpanta stats, roles, and skills
Choosing a branch affects the role as well as the appearance: Panpanta remains a BREAK unit, whereas Piopiota becomes Support and has the line’s top attack stat.
| Aniimo | HP | Attack | BREAK |
|---|---|---|---|
| 81 | 61 | 72 | |
| 92 | 96 | 80 | |
| 104 | 85 | 100 | |
| 102 | 108 | 50 |
Piopiota skills
| Skill | Power | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | Wave damage, team Water boost | |
| Surf | 50 | Rides a wave, creates 4 puddles |
| 72 | Team heal, doubles per puddle | |
| Water Cannon | 39 | AoE water ball, leaves a puddle |
| 6 | Close-range water attack |
Wrath of the Sea costs no EP, runs on an 8-second cooldown, and raises Water Elemental Boost for the whole team for 30 seconds. Surge heals the team for 4% of Piopiota’s max HP and doubles that healing for each puddle absorbed within 10m of water, up to four at once, which is exactly why Surf’s four puddles are worth casting first. Its trait, Radiant Charm, adds 16% Water damage for every opposite-sex Aniimo on the team.

Panpanta skills
| Skill | Power | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 176 | Full-force shovel strike | |
| Water Cannon | 65 | AoE water ball, leaves a puddle |
| 30 | Water Shield, extra skill hits | |
| Hydro Roll | 18 | Rolling ram, drains stamina |
| 6 | Close-range water attack |
Splash Shield costs 20 EP, has a 15-second cooldown, and grants a Water Shield worth 8% of max HP for 15 seconds; while it holds, every skill hit lands one extra instance of skill damage. Hydro Roll cast near water absorbs it for 30% more BREAK efficiency for 15 seconds, which stacks with the family trait Appeal, granting another 30% BREAK efficiency when you enter battle with an opposite-sex Susuta family member on the team.

Nighttime and Prismana forms
All forms in the line have a Nighttime Form with the same base stats, and their level requirements are unchanged: Popota needs 29, while either Nova-stage form needs 39; both branches cost Wave Stone x1. Personality is what differs. For a Nighttime Popota to become Panpanta, its personality must include Instinctive and Judicious and you must win against the Alpha Panpanta. For Piopiota, it must include Energetic and Playful, and you must complete the attraction at night.

Fruit items cannot alter personality. If a Nighttime Popota has the wrong personality pair, that branch is unavailable to it, so you will need a different Popota.
Piopiota (Nighttime) is the only member of the family that is Water and Dark rather than Water alone, and the only one with Dark Tide, which grants 15% BREAK Damage Reduction for 20 seconds and adds a stack for each puddle absorbed near water, up to four. Panpanta (Prismana) sits at element level 4 and is the only form with Water Cannonade, a 20 EP skill with 40 power that creates a puddle and applies five stacks of Water Debuff to everything it hits.
When your goal is completing the Aniilog rather than assembling a single team, keep an extra Popota below level 39 and complete the two routes one after the other. Both the Alpha Panpanta encounter and the beach attraction are on the same coastal stretch, and each evolution uses the same number of Wave Stones.
