The Warrior section of The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons is the Journey chapter that revives the legend of Pawney. It starts with a painter and a blurry canvas in the Russet Highlands, and it ends on a storm-lashed summit with a level 50 dragon standing between you and a rare curio.

Quick answer: Talk to Sorora in Russet Highlands, twine with a caught Helmut to follow the trail up Twister Peaks, shatter the Dragonclaw Stone, pull the Sword of Bravery, then defeat the level 50 Infergon.

What you need before starting the Warrior quest

Two things will stop this quest dead if you turn up unprepared. One is the language barrier with the Helmuts, and the other is the boss at the end.

  • An Aniimo from the Helmut family on your team, or the means to catch one on the spot.
  • Anipod Mega or similar catching items, since the wild Helmut on the mountain is around level 40.
  • A team that can handle a level 50 Infergon, which is the final fight of the chapter.
  • Access to Russet Highlands and Twister Peaks in Breezy Plains. Russet Highlands itself is tuned for levels 45 to 50.

Catch your Helmut before you climb. Doing it first saves a round trip back down the mountain when the Weeping Helmut refuses to make sense to you.

Where the Warrior quest starts in Russet Highlands

The chain begins with Sorora, the Mysterious Painter, who stands beside an easel in the Russet Highlands and is troubled by a painting she can no longer read. The objective you are working toward is labelled Mystery of the Damaged Painting, and the fragment of text she is chasing reads “…imp raises the sword against the Infergon?”

If the quest is not already tracked, open the Log menu, go to Journey, select The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons and track the Warrior section. That pins the green path line and distance markers you will follow for the rest of the chapter.

Walkthrough: Twister Peaks to the Sword of Bravery

Find Sorora in Russet Highlands and accept the quest. She sends you to collect the clues for restoring the painting, all of which are farther up the mountain.
Teleport to Twister Peaks and glide down toward the marker. You are looking for the Weeping Helmut, which sits crying beside a set of stone ruins on the red ground.
Try to talk to it once. The dialogue confirms the block outright, telling you that you cannot understand a word and should twine with an Aniimo from the Helmut family.
Open the map, find the nearest wild Helmut and catch it. An Anipod Mega handles the level 40 one that spawns nearby, and it registers in the Aniilog as Helmut No.061.

Go back to the Weeping Helmut, twine with your new Helmut and talk to it again. It panics and bolts deeper into the red land, which pushes the quest to its next objective.
Follow the trail up the mountain path until you find the Hiding Helmut and speak to it. Keep the twine active, because every Helmut conversation in this chapter depends on it.
Climb to the summit. An exhausted Helmut is lying on the ground there, and the marks around it are the last of the clues Sorora needed.
Investigate the red crystal structure nearby, the Dragonclaw Stone, and shatter it while twinned with your Helmut. Breaking it exposes the Sword of Bravery buried underneath.
Interact with the Sword of Bravery and work through the dialogue prompts. The choices run through Blind Panic, A Warrior’s Heart and Courage Born of Fear, and picking the courageous answers evolves your Helmut into Pawney.

Infergon boss fight at the Stormy Summit

Pulling the sword summons Infergon, a level 50 dragon, and the fight starts immediately on the summit. Your freshly evolved Pawney is the thematic pick, but there is no restriction on bringing the rest of your squad in to finish it.

Defeating it revives the legend of Pawney and causes a Flame Flower to grow on the spot. Harvest it before you leave, and open the chest sitting close by while you are up there.

The Sword of Bravery is the headline item. Its curio entry describes it as a rare curio that consolidates the Helmut’s understanding of evolution, and notes that it was formerly known as the Rusty Iron Sword. The line attached to the legend reads: “To advance despite fear, to find courage in cowardice.”

How to confirm the quest is complete

The final objective sends you back to Sorora, who has moved on to Rainbow Woods. Talk to her there to hand over what you learned on the summit and close out the section.

You know it worked when the Warrior entry drops out of your tracked objectives and the Sword of Bravery appears in your inventory as a curio. Your Helmut also stays evolved as Pawney, which is the permanent change this chapter leaves behind.

Finishing Sorora’s quest also opens Helmut’s Island Adventure in the Russet Highlands, so it is worth checking your Journey tab before you fast travel away from the region.
