Liz’s apartment is not a room you can walk into from the hospital. The Liz House Interaction Cutscene is a late visit that only starts after her photo work is finished, you have lasted long enough, and you take one specific line of dialogue.
Quick answer: Finish all four of Liz’s named patient photos, reach at least Shift 15, then pick Go to Liz’s House when she invites you. The cutscene starts when that shift ends.

The cutscene is not hidden behind a door or an item. It starts from a later talk at reception, after the photo job and the thank-you visits are already done.
Liz comes back one more time and says the investigation moved forward. She asks if you want to see what you are really dealing with, and she tells you to meet her at her place after the shift.
You know it worked when the usual end-of-shift loop does not return you to the hospital floor. You are taken to her apartment instead. After the visit is cut short, you are sent back to the hospital and the run continues.
Shift 15 requirement for the Liz House cutscene
The invite does not show up as soon as the fourth photo is in. You need to reach at least 15 Shifts. In practice, it often lands around Shift 17, so the run has to stay alive through the harder middle stretch.
Dying before that window means she never asks. The photo work can be perfect, and the house visit still will not start if the shift count never gets there.
Sanity is what usually ends those runs. The coffee machine is the plain tool that keeps you standing long enough for her last visit. A brew takes about 48 seconds and is there to put sanity back, not to skip any Liz step.
Liz photo quest that unlocks the invite
Liz, who introduces herself as Lisbeth, first shows up at reception with a UV camera. She names one patient and asks for a photo. That request repeats until you have four correct shots of four different anomalies.
You do not have to check those patients in. Get the photo at the check-in window, then you can turn them away. The UV camera only works there. If you forget the name, it is written on a post-it on the wall.
Inspect the camera when the named patient is at the window and take that one shot. Read the nametag before you fire. A different face wastes the photograph.

She comes back between those shots and talks through what the pictures show. That is still the photo job, not the house invite. One of those returns is the line about patients already visiting before you worked there. If you are hearing that, you are mid-quest, not at the apartment yet.
After the fourth correct photo, she returns to say the pictures were enough and the story can run. That talk can feel like the end. It is not. She comes back again after the piece is published, then later with the house invite.
The last named patient can turn hostile after the shot. If that fight ends the run, the invite is gone with it. Clear that patient before the shift collapses.

Most failed visits are not a hidden extra step. They are one of the blocks below. The lock is for that run, not the whole account.
