A full stat-and-passive breakdown of unit-specific and standard gear, plus where each piece drops and how rerolling works.

Equipment is the most dependable way to push more damage out of your roster in Anime Expeditions. Every piece adds a fixed stat boost, and the character-exclusive gear layers on a named passive that changes how a unit fights. Each unit carries several slots, and some of the strongest characters have gear built only for them.

Quick answer: Clear Story Mode maps to collect gear. Standard equipment fits any unit, while unit-specific equipment only works on its matching character and usually needs that character evolved first. You can also craft most pieces at the Armory Forge in the Expedition Hub.

How to get equipment in Anime Expeditions

Gear drops from Story Mode maps. Each map hands out both standard pieces and the exclusive item tied to a specific unit, so pushing higher stages opens up more equipment. Unit-specific pieces come from the Mastery version of their map with a 5% drop chance and a 20 pity counter, meaning you are guaranteed one by the 20th qualifying clear if it has not dropped already.

Almost every unit-specific piece can also be crafted at the Armory Forge in the Expedition Hub once you have the required materials. Before you start grinding, unlock the character you want to gear and evolve it, since most exclusive equipment stays locked until the unit is evolved.

Every unit-specific equipment, stats, and passive

These items only attach to the character they were designed for, and the named passive is the real reason to farm them. The stat ranges roll on a scale, so rerolling matters if you want the top values. Unless noted, each drops from the Mastery version of its listed map at a 5% chance with 20 pity, and can also be crafted at the Armory Forge.

Standard equipment for any unit

Standard gear works on every unit, which makes it a flexible fill for early and mid-game rosters. These pieces are weaker than the exclusive gear because most carry no unique passive, but they still deliver a solid stat bump while you build toward stronger carries.

Kunai+1% to +10% Damage, -1% to -5% SPASchool Grounds
Katana+1% to +10% Physical DMG Dealt, +1% to +5% DamageFlower Forest
Magic Orb+1% to +10% Range, +1% to +5% DamageRose Kingdom

Magic Book+5% to +20% Magical DMG DealtKing’s Tomb
Shinigami Sword+5.41% Critical Chance, +3.28% Damage. Passive: +0.84% Damage for each enemy in range (max 15).TBA

Magic Book is the standout for magic-focused teams thanks to its large Magical Damage bonus. Shinigami Sword scales with the number of enemies in range, so it shines against dense waves in the late game. Magic Orb suits ranged attackers, while Kunai and Warrior’s Axe fit units that want lower SPA and more raw damage.

How to reroll equipment stats

Equipment stats roll within a range, so you will not always get the highest values on a fresh drop. Rerolling fixes that. You spend equipment reroll items, which come from challenges and the Gold Shop for 2,500 Gold each, and you can repeat the process to chase the maximum stats on a key piece.

Rerolling equipment at the Armory in Anime Expeditions
Equipment can be rerolled from the Armory in Expedition mode.

If you have already landed one excellent roll, use an equipment lock to hold that stat in place while you reroll the rest. That prevents a good value from being overwritten while you push another stat higher.

Which equipment to prioritize

Gear your best evolved units with their exclusive equipment first, since those passives shift the most weight in Story, Expeditions, and Raids. Lean on standard pieces to cover the rest of your roster while you build toward stronger carries. Once a character unlocks its unit-specific item, that piece should generally replace whatever standard gear it was holding, because the passive stacks on top of the stat boost.

Note: A few passives, such as Shadow’s Winged Spirit and Reaper’s Adaptation, only reach full value after specific upgrades or repeated combat, so factor that ramp-up into how you build each unit. Pairing every carry with a strong trait squeezes the most out of each damage boost.
