Anime Expeditions: How Shiny Crow (Itachi) Pity and Shiny Transfer Work

The exact Villain Banner costs, the 10,000-summon pity, and the 20,000 Gold move that puts a shiny on your main Crow.

Chasing a shiny Crow (Itachi) in Anime Expeditions is a two-layer lottery. The Villain Banner has a hard pity that guarantees the Secret unit eventually, but shiny is rolled separately on top of that, so most players end up with a stack of identical non-shiny Crows before one comes out sparkling. The good news is that a shiny copy does not have to be the one you build.

Quick answer: Every 10,000 Villain Banner summons forces a Crow, which works out to 500,000 Villain Coins per guaranteed copy at 50 coins a pull. Shiny is an independent roll, so plan on multiple pity cycles. Once any shiny Crow drops, take it to the Shiny Transfer NPC and pay 20,000 Gold to move the shiny status onto the Crow you actually use.

Villain Banner cost, Crow odds, and pity numbers

Crow is the only Secret-rarity unit from Update 0.5, and he only comes from the temporary Villain Banner. The base rate is brutal, which is why the pity counter is the number that matters for budgeting.

To start pulling, walk onto the summon circle in the lobby, open the summon menu, and switch the banner selection to Villain Banner so your Villain Coins are the currency being spent. Anything you roll on the Standard Banner does not count toward Crow’s pity.

Use the 50x button rather than single pulls. The per-summon price is identical, but batching cuts the number of clicks by a factor of fifty, which is the difference between a session that takes minutes and one that takes hours. Villain Coins come from clearing Acts in Villain Invasion and from event codes, and the currency is also bundled into some Robux packs.

What roughly 4 million Villain Coins buys you

A useful reference point comes from a level 300 account that emptied a bank of 4,179,750 Villain Coins into the banner in a single sitting and stopped at 39,325. That is about 4.14 million coins spent, or a little over eight full pity cycles.

Villain Coins spent4,140,425
Crow units pulled12
Shiny Crow pulled1
Average coins per CrowRoughly 345,000

Twelve copies from eight pity cycles means several Crows arrived early, off pity, before the counter maxed out. That is the mechanic working as intended, and it is also why the coins-per-Crow figure lands well below the 500,000 worst case. What it does not change is the shiny rate, which stayed at one hit across twelve rolls in that run.

Each Crow arrives through the Secret summon cutscene, a lava-arena sequence you will see over and over. The animation itself tells you nothing about shiny status, so there is no point watching it closely.

Inventory space is the thing that stops your run

Mass summoning fills your unit storage fast, and once it is full the game blocks further pulls with a warning on the summon button. Coins are not consumed while this is happening, but the session stalls until you clear space.

The fix is the quick-sell option in your unit inventory. Bulk-selling duplicates pays 25 Gold per unit, so a clear of 109 units returns 2,725 Gold, 93 units returns 2,325 Gold, and 127 units returns 3,175 Gold. Across a four-million-coin run you should expect to do this three or more times.

Tip: scan for Z-tier stat rolls before you confirm a mass sale, and never leave a shiny in the selection. Duplicate shiny mythics are better routed to the Shiny Normalizer station, which converts them into Trait Crystals and Gold instead of a flat 25 Gold each.

Frozen summon cutscenes and how to recover

Rapid-fire 50x pulls can leave the Secret cutscene stuck on screen, locking you out of the menus. It happened twice in the four-million-coin run, both times immediately after a Crow triggered.

The recovery is simply to close and rejoin the game. The pull is already resolved on the server before the animation plays, so you come back with the Crow in your inventory and your remaining coin balance intact — in that run, 1.2 million coins were still there after the first freeze. Rejoin, walk back onto the summon circle, reselect the Villain Banner, and continue.

Shiny Transfer: Moving the shiny onto your main Crow

This is the part that saves the entire chase. A shiny Crow that drops fresh from the banner is level 1 with random traits and stats, which is useless next to a Crow you have already levelled and rolled Unbound on. The Shiny Transfer station moves the shiny status from one copy to another instead of forcing you to rebuild.

Return to the lobby and head to the NPC area that holds the Shiny Normalizer and Shiny Transfer stations. They sit next to each other, so make sure you interact with Shiny Transfer and not the Normalizer, which destroys shinies for materials.

Pick the freshly pulled shiny Crow as the donor and your built Crow as the destination. In the reference run the destination was a level 50 Crow (Black Fire) with the Unbound trait.
Pay the 20,000 Gold fee to confirm. At the 25 Gold quick-sell rate that is about 800 fodder units’ worth of Gold, so bank the proceeds from your inventory clears rather than spending them on levelling mid-session.

Be certain before you press confirm. The transfer permanently deletes the donor shiny unit, so if you point it at the wrong Crow there is no undo and no refund.

How to confirm the shiny actually landed

Open your unit inventory after the transfer. The Crow you selected as the destination should now display in its shiny form while keeping its level, trait, and stats, and the donor copy should be gone from the list entirely. If both copies are still present, the transfer did not go through and the Gold was not taken.

Two things commonly go wrong. You cannot complete the transfer without the full 20,000 Gold on hand, and you cannot use a shiny you have already fed to the Shiny Normalizer, since that consumes the unit for Trait Crystals. Check the shiny is still sitting in your inventory before you walk over.

The practical takeaway is that shiny hunting on this banner is a volume game with a safety net at the end. Pull until a shiny Crow appears at any level with any traits, keep enough Gold in reserve to cover the transfer fee, and the copy you have already invested in becomes the shiny one. Anime Expeditions is available on Roblox, where the Villain Banner runs alongside the Villain Invasion event.
